We have looked flat for a few weeks now, IMO a few blokes have been looking at the premiership table and taking opposition sides too easy. Darren will address the situation this week. Take nothing away from Mitcham they played some bloody good footy, very hard to stop when their tails are up. Big test this week against SPOC might give us an idea of where we are at.

The last few years we only ever played there later in the season, and it was either boggy, or dangerously rock-hard in the centre square - pretty standard for ovals on that side of town i suppose. I imagine that its in pretty good nick early in the year, with the cricket club looking after it over summer.

Our's certainly isn't the worst I've seen, but you're right about the centre, can get very hard when it dries up after a bit of rain. Provides for some decent sized scratches, but I can't recall anyone suffering any bad injuries as a result. In saying that, if you don't get tackled in there, it isn't an issueThe rest of the oval is pretty good at this time of the year.

Didn't something happen last year against Haven ? IIRC, someone got knocked out in a tackle or something, hitting their head on the ground ??? Can't remember if it was one of you blokes or a Haven guy.
You are right though, we never had any issues with the square last year - we didn't get tackled in there...

Don't really enjoy playing at walkerville. Got smashed into the concrete drain that runs round the boundary a few years ago. Sh!thouse feeling.

Tucker could play well - no Birdy to terrorise him anymore !!!
We might fly him back from Qld just for the occasion

No doubt Tuck will have an influence, always does, he's more than recovered from the 3 clotheslines he copped in the GF!!
You're welcome to, but flights from the U.S. are more expensive...?
