Perhaps gums might take the hint...the umps coach was a gums v rams game for one reason...He asserted his authority early and correclty so...if gums concentrate on playing football they might have a chance of making the five..
but the rams had too many guns..too much class and too much disciplne.

Oh I agree, he WAS given the game for a reason. My point was we have been unfairly stereotyped and yesterday proved that. Nothing untoward at all yet I would wager the free kick count was EXCEEDINGLY lopsided. If thats how we are going to be umpired from here on in, we will struggle. But as I said, Nairne were too good yesterday no doubt but as has been the case when we have played some of the better sides, 5 of our better A graders out yesterday..... theres plenty left in the tank.
9.30 training session for the boys too, shows how disappointed we are.

It was a case yesterday the Nairne where just too good. As for the umpiring, he was out there because of teaching a junior umpire during the B Grade, would they send a Jnr Umpire out to a Gumeracha game if the hfl thought it would get out of control?? I really dont think anyone was trying to make or point or if Gumeracha are meant to take a hint. I really think people should stop judging a book by its cover!!! Except that Gumeracha have improved, you dont automatically gain respect for winning a couple of games hence you shouldnt gain a reputation from 1 game, it does take 2 to tango!!!

Junior Umpire, i believe they wear green. The bloke that did the Nairne game has been umpiring for 6 years and has given more Red/Yellow cards in the last 6 years then ive had hot meals... The Umps coach went there to see how feral Gum really are, and its feral!!

I hear one of their recruits has left them this week and is heading back to Eastern Park, anyone else heard this?
