Question: Should AFL players be required to wear black tie to the Brownlow Medal award

I don't think they should. I think it is a secondary medal in any case to the Magarey Medal. If the Magarey doesn't insist on it I don't see why the Brownlow should.

No wasn't saying that at all. I know of previous years when the likes of Payze, Colville and Cicolella have all gone into magarey nights as red hot favourites only to be denied the defining glory. I'm just saying there's been some less than deserving winners in past years.

Obviously the rotational policy doesnt exist in the SANFL or the Eagles would have won a flag by now as well as having their magarey which they 'deserve'.
