If amateurs authorise will have to be played, but agree is a risk for the other side, 10 goal win much better option.

The game should have been sanctioned at the start of the week in respect of the other side trying to prepare, leaving it until this late makes it difficult for all parties

No it shouldn't have, Ovies deserved the chance to come up with the money by Wednesday.

Last week, this week, next week??? There is more to this weeks game than just Ovingham, what about next week for Flinders Uni how do they prepare not knowing if there is going to be a game or not. If they come to play under prepared thinking they are not playing and lose, they could miss the finals altogether as all the teams are closely matched on their day..

You prepare yourself like you do any other week, your club should find out Thursday morning and then inform the players when they arrive at training what the situation is. There's no alteration to your travel or accomodation plans FFS.

Correct i agree with you but there will be no descision on this week until late tonight or more than likely tomorrow and that is my point we would have to ring and tell 40 odd players trainers umpires etc.........

I think you will find that it has already been declared a forfeit.

as far as i was aware a descision is being made tonight and were told by SAAFL that they would notify by Friday which is poor. Athelstone might have no credit left on their phone. Good luck to Ovingham on overcoming the difficulties and getting BOTH their sides back on the park.

That would be poor form on the SAAFL's behalf
