What the hell has happened today? Plympton have gone down again, they will be absolutely shattered. And Hope Valley B grade....... I thought they were hot favorites to win the flag this year. Funny game football..... Anyone give a rap up of the games today for us that had to work

westminster controlled the game. plympton struggled in the first quarter defensively getting it out of the w'minster forward line. when they did they seemed to turn it over.

pympton seemed to take an hour to get going. their thrid quarter was good and they threatened to get right back into it. it was possibly out of their reach with a 7 to 2 goal first half deficit.

some ordinary umpiring decisions in the first half , bordering on soft. but the umps seemed to save their best for the third quarter with some very strange / inconsistent decisions, 2 in the plympton forward line and two yellow cards in one hit. somehow they picked two plympton players out of a 20 player scuffle on the outer side after a plympton goal and then gave w'misnter the ball in the middle. one of the two players sent off was 20-30 meters away from the 'fracas' when it started so who knows what he did.

an interesting three quarter time address by the w'minster coach. it obviously got them back on track as they kicked the first 2 in a few minutes and it was game done.

w'minster to tall and too much run. warburton very good in first half, radley and malcolm to tall, ferris bobbing up, wigg a general in defence, easton the extra tall in the forward line, allen marshalling his troops, harris i think it was took a courageous mark running back with the flight of the ball which resulted in a goal. the list goes on. way too good.

the best two teams across the journey this year imo to face off in the GF and go to div 4. well done to both clubs and good luck next week. pulteney for me with the weeks break and their miserly defence.

for plympton another painful finals series. belts our coach often says 'what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger'.

Should be a cracking GF. Old Intercol rivals head to head. St Mary's again or a SANFL ground available?

Very painful loss. boys are hurting after another prelim loss...you cant win games of footy when you turn over the footy and be second to the ball as much as we were.... i was interchange steward and i still dont uderstand why our players got sent off, even though a WOS player started it and provoked it, the bloke 6ft something pickn on a little fella.... anyways if WOS play like that nxt week they will go back to back....
on to the reserves game i saw today, im ot to sure what hope valley were doing today (no disrepect)... i thought they were a shoe in.... didnt help ther best player was injured in the 1st quarter... however the footy they were playn they never looked in it.... you cant win games of footy when your not playing accountable football..... again no direspect.... HV full forward was awsum, very smart footballer..... i think he kicked 5 or 6..... wos were good most the day 41 was good and number 2 oin the wing..... shuold be a cracker next week... can't wait!!!!

Personally I think Plympton played their best footy when Smith was off, they actually used their other forwards, rather directing all their footy at Smith, who Hooper toweled up. If they could add another power forward to their side it would make them a lot more dangerous.

Very disappointing effort from us yesterday. If you go out playing your best football then you cant ask for anything more than that but we were no where near our best. You are spot on about not playing accountable football and we certainly were not willing to work hard enough. Well done to WOS in both grades. Think their A grade are a chance but Plympton B grade wiil be far too good. ( just from what I saw from the last 2 weeks)

Big Nation up forward was excellent today and had we got a bit more ball to him could of kicked a big bag. Said yesterday that was definatly his last game so well done big fella.

Commiserations to Plympton. Thought the A grade coach and Jimmy's talk with our boys in the changerooms after the game must have been tough, but was all class.

yes the b grade were dissapointing in both finals. i think the uneveness of the competition causes you to become a tad complacent (and lazy) when winning by 20 goals more weeks than not, then when the real deal arrives and its game on those bad habits are found out big time. would like to congratulate dean on his six years as B grade coach and wish him well. been a great club member and not just a coach and i"m sure will make a good A grade coach if given the opportunity. good luck deano,

it was more about asking for another 30 minutes of effort and discipline than what structurally needed to be done to stop their run. great confidence in the the players and the planning done before the game.
being involved with a club you don't get to hear to many other coaches speak so it is always interesting to listen. it was similar to his 3 qtr time address in the gf last year. its also a learning opportunity to see other teams in your own div play each other.
there was no doubt that if your guys got back to shutting them down and forcing them wide for 5-10 minutes then that would be enough to get the result.

I will back that up. Listened to the 1/4 time address. Spoke extremely well in a high pressure game from the side that settled first.

Oh, ok. I wasn't sure whether you thought it was interesting because you thought it was odd, but I understand what you mean now.

Very good coach... really good... and "yes" I do want my spot in the A's again this week. :)
