He doesnt chase, or contest. Why should you when you have other people willing to do it for you. Not right up there with a team player. Maybe he should have sleepovers for his team mates to share his bed he won for being leading goal kicker.

Congratulations to the fellas from Henley. I'm sure we'll have some great contests again up in Division 6.

Once again I am reminded how cruel a game football can be. Luckily the positives of football far outweigh the negatives. Looking forward to spending the next week getting blind with the best bunch of lads I know.

I thought the umpires did a pretty good job - as for your comment about the umpires favouring Houghton in the 3rd qrt, what cr#p. Perhaps you should head back to the U.K and do everyone a favour.

went past Blair Athol Res this arvo, hugh crowd , so i dropped in to see the action.
it was the 1/2 time break ,so had time to check out D7 crowd.
Houghton crowd up the scoreboard end were great ;helmets with the horns. swords .shields absolutley fantastic for the atmosphere [ as oppossed to the foulmouthed Henley "supporters" on the eastern side, did your club no favours with foul language aimed at opp. players and supporters, [[TOOLS]]]
third quarter a very good standard, considering the wind was very tricky, and a great comeback by Houghton . umpires had no influence, just payed the man going for the ball .as they did to Henley in the final 1/4
well done to both teams ,looks like it sets up a great next year as rivals

I was at the game yesterday it was a great contest between both teams. I thought the game was won in the second qtr by henley their midfield just keep working and working, and ran all over houghton. A great fightback by Houghton in the third term, But in the end Henley were just too good to lay down. I thought number 3 for Henley killed Houghton all day through the middle of the ground.
Who won best on ground? i didnt stay around to find out!

Congrats to Henley. As much as it pains me to say it, they thoroughly deserved to win on the day.
Raiders should hold their heads up high after having a real crack at in the third quarter, any suggestion that the umpires had a part in getting them back in the game is absolutely ridiculous. Yes, Houghton were receiving more free kicks for a 10 minute period but that is because Henley were losing the plot at that stage and GIVING FREE KICKS AWAY.

Congratulations must go to the Henley boys for their composure to steady after the final break and take back the momentum, and ultimately take the flag. I think after the huge effort the Raiders gave in the third, they just didn't have enough run left in the legs. And with poor Sammy Taylor absolutely rooted after a massive rucking effort all day, Henley were getting their hands on the ball first. I think this is really what decided the outcome in the end. Taking absolutely nothing away from Henley, but a second ruckman giving Sammy a hand just might have made the difference. :(

Look forward to when these sides meet again in div 6. Yesterday's loss is the kind of thing that makes you wanna give everything to help your mates....
I hear what you're saying....It sounds to me like "WAAA WAAA BLOODY WAAA"

They can't stay down this time. They refused last year and then made the GF again, so its up they go.

Nah i thought they had to go up this time, and ovringham struggled to field 2 teams at the end of the year so i wouldn't figure they would be in div 7 next yr
