that whinging bloke from SMOSH wouldn't be the less-talented cousin of a Crows player would it? The few times I saw them this year, all he would do was whinge...

What club doesn't have a player or players believing they are better than what they are. As for players finishing high up in the assocciation counts and not in their club counts just shows you that the umpires ARE NOT ALWAYS RIGHT. Isnt it a team game?

Could also mean the people at the club voting are not always right - I have been asked on occasions at a club (even had an opposition once ask me) to cast my 3-2-1, but I have a habit of holding grudges and wont give 3 to someone I think is a knob - so I won't do it. Have also seen many times club vote cards given to guys/chicks that have been drinking all the way through the B's and are expected to cast votes on the A's - or fathers/brothers/cousins etc etc of players who are unabashedly biased....

Para Hills b & f votes are done by the coach & asst coach and either the runner or team manager does the other card.

With my club we have 2 cards voting on a 3,2,1 basis in all grades. One card is done by the Coach with input from his team manager and runner, while the other card is given to any one of 4 or 5 people (spread around over the year). The supporters in this 2nd group are "picked" out by the team manager as experienced people, with no family ties to players to bias their opinion and of a sober nature. Don't think you can do much more. There are not many occasions at all that there is a big anomaly in the 2 cards. Perhaps an exception can be on occasions a coach may give some votes to a backman who does a particularly good job at shutting down a key forward and the supporter doesn't recognise that player as being in top 3 B&F.
If your club is handing out cards to people nilly willy without the above thought process, then they are not doing that job good enough and you can expect strange results.
At least Scorpion admits it and doesn't accept the card.

b lodge voting is done by the senior coach both A grade assistant coaches and the b grade coach the voting system works like this every player is voted on from 1 to 7 in every game 1 is obvisouly no impact on game and 7 being a outstanding game, so i think this way is fair to players that play consistently week in and week out and would think it will be a exciting count on nov 7th.
so 1 no impact or injured early
2 below average
3 average game
4 exceptable game
5 good game
6 very good game
7 outstanding game

believe its something like this anyway...

Gepps Cross as follows and voted by the Coach, Assistant Coach and a nominated other person;

5,4,3,2,1 basis which gives a maximum of 15 votes with 45 votes in total available per game.

Since this has been implimented a few years back, most has gone according to the way it has appeared during the season.
