How will "Big Brother" handle this I wonder??? They don't like seeing clubs cut adrift with nowhere to go!
Was it a fairly unanimous vote?

I heard it doesnt matter what the clubs or the HFL says, if the SANFL want them in the league then they will be in the league.

All SA country football leagues are affiliated with the SANFL and come under their umbrella.

They will ensure that BSR, Sedan Cambrai and Morgan find a competition to play in next year.

Last year Robertstown tried to leave Mid Murray and transfer to the Adelaide Plains but the SANFL stopped it from happening.

Is there room for 3 7-8 team divisions?
Hills Central, Hills Country Southern and Hills Country Northern/Torrens Valley?
Although this would mean Birdwood and possibly Lobey dropping to the Northern league, which I imagine might not be a popular idea.

there use to be 4 divisions years ago but clubs left to go to other leagues or disbanded

Was that a "selfish" vote based on the travel & time factor that would impose on a lot of clubs and 'lobbied' as such?

isnt any vote selfish aceman? at the end of the day you vote to have your say on matters so to call it selfish is perhaps a little unfair. and of course it was because of time and travel reasons. junior parents and players do not want to travel 150km at 730in the morning if they can avoid it.

No not always! If something is in the best interest of the competition and has benefits then you make a positive judgement, if it's not then your judgement is in the negative. I understand the reasoning for it but why would clubs like TV, Kersbrook and those closer vote NO based on a distance factor? To prop up the vote for Kangy, Maccy etc maybe?
But talking to a few guys from clubs up there, it is perceived as an invasion by outsiders so was bound to fail, regardless of any positives.

That Mid Murray League was a weak competition. The only possible victory they could have hoped for in the Hills would have been against Callington. Hills delegates have saved them from being getting belted each week.

Can't say I disagree with this comment and feel that the only way they could have competed would have been to merge and form 1 club out of 3 (assuming 4th club get's it's wish to join other comp) left and at least that way it would have probably ensured they had enough to field junior sides.

If i was a betting man i'd be putting my money on him staying put at Kersy for a 4th year in a row...with Paul right there next to him.

DoubleBlues - Any truth that SJ has access to the GH Trust fund.
Reports have it that SJ has signed APFL leading goal kicker Barry Burgess.
Must have cost a packet to get him there, maybe as a Reserves coach to slip him into the 2010 budget.
Are you prepared to pay the price? WILL YOU PAY THE PRICE?

I think discussions have taken place 'The Duke' but not sure if all is confirmed, believe Maccy have visited their local bank to get a loan to cover his match payments. Quality pick up if true, if he gets his hands on the ball mark it down as a sausage roll, doesn't miss many.
