To be honest, the only reasons i said this is because not only has he looked extremely promising in the t20 and ODIs for pakistan since debuting, but also his absolute demolishing of the AUS A side in the middle of the year. His form has been outstanding and its great to see young blokes like him looking to succeed in the longer form of the day aswell as the shorter forms!!

NZ still on top tho! And looking to set the Paki's a score come day 5 for an unlikely win

Would love to see Vettori and Bond destroy the Pakis on day 5 and bowl the Kiwis to victory

That would be great to see. Its funny, if it was the POMS i would be barracking for the PAKI's but since NZ are involved im barracking for them. Im sure the NZ batters will crumble as normal and the pakis will get the win!

Bond is a star along with vettori and taylor! 3 of the most exciting players in the world IMO

He is only 26 and in form (he is unbeaten on 159 for Otago today)

If the Kiwis are picking Elliott at number 6 on the basis he can bowl, its no wonder they are down the wrong end of the Test Championship

Ended up with 196, while another international reject Sinclair made a duck, as did Matthew Bell, following on from his 6 in the first dig. Tim Southee kept contributing with a handy 22 with the bat that allowed Northern Districts to claim a first innings lead (65 for the 9th wicket)

But what do you make of NZ FC cricket, Chris Harris made 105, while Ravi Bopara is an opening batsman (61* off 154 balls) and first change bowler (3/109)

BROD i was looking at these scores yesterday! i was telling myself "it couldnt be bopara and harris it just couldnt be". I understand Boparas runs he has made (altho he is not international standard) but him taking 3 wickets and harris making a 100 now seriously!!!!

Tim Southee is a gun in the making! Chris Cairns is someone he reminds me of!!
Sinclair has made a couple double hundreds (wouldnt call him a test reject - altho i understand where ur coming from) and matthew bell, is that the worse batting technique i have ever seen, what a joke!!

After bowling the PAKI's out this morning for a lead of 97, the Kiwis fell to be 2/0 and just before lunch they are now 2/57 with Ross Taylor in.

17 yr old Aamer took both the wickets this morning. Very good prospect for the Paki's however weve seen them start young and finish early with the likes of Sami and Asim debuting young and not living up to the expectations of everyone else.

NZ has won the First Test across the ditch against Pakistan - match scores NZ 429 & 153 Pakistan 332 & 218

Kiwis home by 32 runs in Dunedin in what was a terrific match - Last day crowd of 6,602 which is encouraging

How was the ground they were playing at? Looked a real 'out country' venue, No fence around the ground, may have been a few advertising boards here and there tho. Ross Taylor smashed a back cut, hit the boundry rope and went straight through the Kiwis dressing room widow, scattering the players in all directions.
Some really good signs shown by the Kiwis allthough we all know Pakistans form away from home is ordinary to the least.

The kiwi's first Test win in more than a year wasn't it?

PAK all out for 264

NZ 4/60

FLynn 19*
Elliott 4*

Ross Taylor was looking fantastic until he left one that jagged back and took off stump form Gul.

This series is far more entertaining than the India - Sri Lanka one.

Looks like NZ's super skipper will need to save them again.

Without a doubt! Im definitely watching this series over the WI and AUS series at the moment.

The Paki's just a had challenge and was turned down. Another "umpires call" challenge went against the bowling side. Was off the leggie in Kaneria, with our own Taufel giving G.Elliot not out.

Both sides making 220 odd IMO is more appealing to watch then scores 400+ constantly!

Young Flynn, altho without a good record in test matches so far, i really like the way he fights his innings out and works extremely hard! A good prospect for mine!

And flynn is now out  Swinging ball from Asif, traps him LBW. Challenged and again, umpires call and he is given out.

Elliott and McCUllum now out, with NZ 5/85.

Lets hope a quick fire 50 odd gets NZ back in the game.

Both test matches so far have had the momentum swinging.

As i say this, McCullum is out for a first ball duck, caught at 2nd playing a flashy drive off Asif.

Captain saviour walks to the crease at 6/85!!!

Surely he cant do it again and save his country from another terrible looking score!

Mental. I look away from this thread for 5 mins and theres been a stack of wickets. I forgot this would be on now, it is only in NZ after all!

So this is on Fox I assume?

Pity that NZ don't look like making a decent total, Pakistan well on top.
