Roulette

Postby Punk Rooster » Sat Dec 09, 2006 10:16 am

Much like Rooburger's system on the dogs, I have a system on Roulette.
I define a system as being a set betting strategy, with defined/pre-determined methods of punting (like the rest of the world).
I loathe idiots who reply (when I tell them of my Roulette system)- "You can't beat the casino blah blah blah"
I do not claim to have a magic formula that guarantees a win, but I do have a cheap system that lets you win big if your luck is in!

It is simple...
Back the last 2 numbers spun.

Previous 5 spins (from 1st to last) 36,15,12,24,1
so I bet on 24 & 1.
26 comes up.
My next bet is 1 & 26 (as previous spins are 36,15,12,24,1,26)
26 comes up again. WIN- you get the idea...

It costs $5 per game (ie 2 x $2.50 chips), but when you win, you're getting true odds of 17/1, which is a better return than those who cover nearly every number....

Anyone else have any sytems/strategies for Roulette?

Had much success?

True odds are actually 18.5/1

I just play my favourite numbers, which are mainly on one side of the wheel so if it hits that area a few times Im laughing, havent played for ages though, sick of casinos unless its poker!

Usually only have a crack with $40- and if I get it to $200 I quit...dont bet any serious cash on it

SCD's System

Postby SCD » Sat Dec 09, 2006 10:31 am

SCD's system is simple and if you have enough money you can beat the casino, I agree 100% with you PR re morons who say "you can't win there" well if you start with a $5 bet and keep doubling, then you will becuase your number(s) eventually has to hit...

I pick a section of the wheel (12 numbers next to each other and have $1 on it) I get $3/1 on my money... but where people take the 1-12 and get 3/1 on their money, my system has the numbers next to each other and if you watch Roulette for often enough you'll note a lot of times the numbers hit the same section of the wheel time and time again..
Port Power has 16 years history at Football Park...

The Port Magpies have 40 years history and the two shall never be confused or combined

I've had enough success to keep it going.
It really depends on whether you're luck is in or not (once, i saw #5 come up 3 spins out of 4)
By the way, if I have a win, I still place another chip on top of the winning chip.
This system is more designed to limit losses, rather than a win, so it's more of a system designed to instill discipline into Casino betting.

my roulette system is very basic.

you assess the board for the last 15 spins and see where the numbers are coming from, if you have just arrived on the table beware of numbers that have repeated, as sometimes when the dealer takes too long too pay out the number will automatically come up again for some reason.

Anyway assessing the board of the last 15 or so spins, then watch a few more spins - say between 5 - 10. If there is a third on the board that hasnt been hit in the last 20-25 spins then you start playing those numbers.

so for example there have been 22 spins the 15 on the board plus the 7 you have watched and all the numbers are between 14-36, then you start playing the numbers 1 - 12.

MT79 cleans up the Casino on a regular basis.

Roulette is terrfic for punters percentage, although I get 'green' with envy.
Of all forms of gambling the roulette wheel is one of the very best for gamblers.

Block bets

Postby Frosty » Sun Dec 10, 2006 10:44 pm

Was in the Casino Friday night and won at Roulette. Playing on the touch screens you have the option of betting sections of the wheel and I usually go the section with 0 + the 6 numbers either side of it. You are covering 13 numbers with 9 chips with most bets being halves or 2 chips on corners so get 17-1 or 2 x 8-1 back respectively as long as the ball falls in that area of the wheel. Sometimes the dealer will spin the same section for several spins in a row which equals a good payout very quickly.
It's also a lazy way of not having to physically fight your way through people to get a bet on....... :D :P

FROSTY

i havent played roulette on the computer touch screens that they have but I would think like you mentioned that it would be a good way to play it as you dont have to push and shove to get bets on and people dont know what you are betting on and cant copy you

Also prevents that dodgy guy that works there from "accidently" moving chips off of the winning square. People complained, he was removed from the table, but HE STILL WORKS THERE

I havent really tries this but always was interested to see if it would work -

the "dozens" 1-12 13-24 & 24-36...put $10- on one and if it hits put the $30- on the same one again, if it hits theres $90- from your $10-....odds 8/1 but would have thought it happens more regualrly than that...might have to try it one day, go witha bank of $100- and do it for an hour and see the result

thats not a bad strategy because you quite often see numbers from the same third repeating a few times. I guess its all about timing!!!!!!

the other way you could do it is put $10 on 2 thirds but it would take about 6 or 7 correct spins to get upto $100 and you would need $20 to start with!!!!

I must be one of those "idiots", Punky.
How can your system give any different distribution of payouts than choosing two numbers at random after every spin :?:

I am amazed at how many people believe that the history of which numbers have come up is relevant to future spins...
It is just a little ball that runs around, which has no memory of what has happened previously!

Nup - no more than you would expect from just random variation. It is surprising how easy it is to see supposed patterns in completely random numbers if you try hard enough. It is beliefs like this which helps the Casino suck people in.

Using some sort of system in Roulette may be fun, but there is no system which can improve your expected payouts.

Ecky the Splitter of Hairs,
As the spin of a Roulette wheel is independant of any previous spins, there is no format to correctly predict the next outcome- so my System offers you a set criteria to follow. My operating system is an inexpensive way to play the game, yet gives you a defined method of playing, so it helps to keep losses low (as opposed to throwing chips around with gay abandon*)
Regards,
Punky the Weary :)

PS this System of mine offers not guarantee of improved payouts, but an enjoyable method of punting- please tell me you know where I'm coming from! [-o<

Lets say you're on a game show and there's three doors to choose a prize from.

One door has a donkey
Another door also has a donkey
The third of the doors has a car.

You choose one of the doors. Your percentage chance of getting the correct door and therefore the car, is 33.3%

Before opening your door, one of the doors you didn't choose is opened, revealing a donkey.

Question is, if you have the ability to now change your chosen door to the other one that is left, do you increase your chances of getting the car?

Yes. Despite only having two doors left, the odds of having the right door are not 50/50. When choosing the first door, your odds were 1 in 3 ... and despite showing another wrong door, your odds don't change. Therefore, there is a 66.6% chance that you will not get the car by keeping the same door.

Sorry if this doesn't make sense, I'm not sure how to explain it.

To cut a long story short, there is 2 in 3 chance of you getting the car if you change the door after a wrong door being revealed, yet a 1 in 3 chance if you don't change. At the start, it is more likely you have not won the car, and after opening a wrong door, it is still more likely you don't have the car.
