Yangon

Former capital. Cracked pavements and crumbling colonial buildings. Not a tourist in sight as you walk the streets and some of kids stare like you're the first white person they've ever seen.

Temple anyone? More than 2500 of them actually, scattered across a plain and offering an amazing view when you look across it.

Inle Lake

Inle Lake, set high in the misty mountains and giving respite from the heat and humidity of the rest of the country. Tranquil.

Crossing into Laos at Huay Xai today.

Crikey wants me to write on the run, finding time and energy to do it is proving difficult though. See how I go, hopefully stay off the piss and take some time to chill at Luang Nam Tha and Luang Prabang.
