Totally different. Blokes from the SANFL won't pop in for a game of amateurs on the odd occasion they will be there because they have been omitted from their reserves or U18's team and don't have anywhere to play for that weekend. They will play at a club which they were aligned to prior to going to the SANFL or a club that they have signed with on advice from their league club prior to season proper.

exactly..i of course didnt mean just "drop in"..there would obviously have to be a circumstance..and they could play for whoever they wanted to also via a clearance so not necessarily the previously aligned or advised club..you are still most likely playing against a player who WONT play finals..in either example of sanfl or country league..they still both effect the game and outcomes..its the same diff..

SANFL clubs rely on feeder leagues such as the SAAFL or Southern League to get players, so it is only natural that if a bloke don't get a game through form or injury they go back to their local club for 1 or more games, without the need for a clearance or permit. This has been happening for probably longer than I have been alive and is an acceptable part of SANFL and Local league affiliation. What happened on the weekend though I just think is a different kettle of fish, but if it's in the rules so be it.

The thing is though as stated before he kicked goals at crucial times in the game and swung the momentum. He made a huge difference to that team he's a class player and the full back had his hands full. You say another forward would have kicked 4 but how would do u know. Football is so unpredictable he could have been well held by our full back and kicked nothing and we won. It's in the past I'm over it. Let's hope we will get our revenge.. Looking forward to the all important class between Woodville South and West Croyden next weekend. Back home at the cattery, Big game for the Cats

Quite enjoyed all this talk,if stuff like this didn't happen then we would have nothing to talk about would we? Just a quick question for you catters, how can you justify your fullback (number 22) getting 3rd best on ground when a bloke kicks 8.6 on him?? Didn't think you get in the best for effort in senior footy...

Move over Easter and bring back the footy

one player does not win u a game. I dont hear people on here complaining about losing after losing players to injury during a game and playing with a restricted interchange or missing a club captain. Lutherans had this bloke all year last season and lost quite a few games.....sour grapes imo

Your right. However, last year that was the club he was connected with and has since moved on probably for the money. If the player wanted to play he should play the whole year if he wants to get a transfer then transfer him and dont let him back.. This guy is registered to another league why let him play in the SAAFL?

For whatever reason he played and as an opposition u need to deal with the team u r presented with. Possibly woodville south were caught unawares to his quality but they clearly didnt match up well on him. I would have thought the coaching staff would have seen wat was going on and adjusted the team accordingly. He didnt kick too many bags of 8 last year.....
