Carey and Voight for the Bays and Hammond for North were amazing in the 73 GF.
Anyone got copies of the 2 sides they beat?

Yes, he replaced Grenville who was caught drinking at the Preliminary final team meeting. I don't think that it made the difference in the end. How Nunan could have chosed Zoontjens in front of Kim Klomp is another minor mystery. Brearley actually kicked two goals in the GF which is 2 more than we expected.

We had our chances in that first half. It all changed when Robbo bounced the ball back over his head heading towards goal when we were 4 goals up (or thereabouts) in the second quarter from memory? They took it down and scored and the whole tide turned so to speak. Also didn't help losing Wildy in that altercation with Kernahan.

I agree the Robbo incident changed the whole game. I thought we were gone at half time and losing Wildy just blew out the result. Given the respective teams I thought we did very well to lead the Bays by 5 goals at one stage and to have our chances in the game. We certainly had a better team in 1986 and that effort remains one of the biggest disappointments of my life.
