Your right westy for that coin they should be very good players on a weekly basis. There are many way's to judge a good player though seeing as most weeks these guys asking good money are tagged or sat on by the Opposition. Sometimes there are to high of expectations on players just because of the amount of money they are on which is just silly. I again get back to my first point if a football club is prepared to pay a player $500 plus a week to play footy good on the player for getting a silly amount to play & more fool the club. This will be a never ending debate on what clubs should and shouldn't pay for many more generations it's not going to stop. There are to many jealous people in today's society to let it rest i say play on and get over it!

You are a deep thinker. I didnt want you philosophy on life i was after names of blokes an clubs. The player should be accountable for the money he takes. Like Ricky Butler, kadina paid 600 for not much in return. Long plain last year got rid of a few paid players for not being up to scratch.

It should be up to each club and those involved to know what a player is being paid, not to be advertised on a public forum like this! Your "opinion" on whether theyre being paid too much/not enough would only be based on what you see and read. I know clubs that dont chase certain players as they wouldnt be a good fit both on-field and off-field. In country footy you need to look for players that will not only give on the ground but also during the week and after the game. From experience, players that just rock up to take the money dont last as the club itself does not embrace that person for not giving back.

Being a front runner might just put extra pressure on you to go back to back ;)
Can your boys handle the pressure?! :D

You can't do much more than keep winning games this time of year PG!!! As for the front runners tag, its a pretty weak label given Kadina already have a flag to thier name last year, I'd say the pressure is on all the other clubs who are trying to catch them.

Have any of you YPFL blokes seen your Landmark Cup squad yet? Will Jon Coombe and Willy Searle line up again this year.

Moonta are too soft to win the premiership this year... they need to put the fear back into the league like they did in 05 when they won their last and only flag in the last 50 years

I would say that Bute are the softest team with there bruise free football they play. Around the boundry and down the line. Slade and Nelson provide there only grunt and theres 70 years of age between them. Times up slade.
Look out Yorkes coz at the end of the first round the bloods are on top and still not running on all pistons. Ins for the next game southern eagles at home. Zac Edwards(B&F), Ben Waller(Runner up B&F) Brendan Papps(CHF) Dereck Sansbury, Alex East, Cameron March, Josh Willis, David Poole, all premiership players plus Ian pie eater Mcmillian an Simon Westbrook.

I didnt say Moonta were softer than Bute, everyone knows Bute is just made up off outside players and receivers, my point is Moonta is still too soft a unit to win a premiership. they need blokes like Jack Woodward mould back in their mix

That is some big ins, couldn't see a couple of them walking straight back into the ones. Will no doubt be the end of Gunnings run in the ones from my mail.
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

I agree Slade is well over rated. it's time for him to hang up the netball skirt. i recall when he won the mail medal in 05 or 06 the week it was announced most of our side didnt know much about him and i didnt even know who he was. he was the worst mid fielder in their team back then and josh pearce would get the tag and sam trengrove would receive a fair bit of attention around the packs and slade was running around like a lost dog mainly un noticed maybe racking up 15 cheap possies per game and chirping up to the umps which may explain the votes.

if you knew your facts you would know that Pearce was not playing the year Slade won the Mail Medal! It was Stephen Carr that was the hot tip from Bute that year.

You like that DAVE BRENT, Southern Eagles almost beat Bute and the hounds just dished them out a 15 goal floggen. Papps back into it. Nick Fanta Pants Rawson was great. Pasky next week should be fun. Serle will kick he's 2nd bag of ten against them. Big loss to Wallaroo with Matson BOG, Wallaroo's ruckman is lucky to be 6 foot. Stick at it Zanker. He's going a great job for an undermaned Wallaroo.

If you were serious about zone, Zac Millar, Dean Cutting and Josh Lawson should be the only ones to play Zone. Surly there are better players in our zone then ones that aint even the best in our league. As for the CMS crows they could be the deal. We will see in 2 weeks. Our last encounter wasnt a true measuring stick on were the crows are at. 8 goal loss to Bute and Bute are nowhere near full strenght.
