^:)^ How very true only see what they want to see

Check the video replay of that incident, Ben Grieger CLEARLY had his arm over the shoulder / neck of Matt Duldig - a free kick every day of the week for mine.

You've obviously doctored the footage BP. :)

The Duldig one on that video is clearly not a free kick IMHO. The other one you can't see whether the defender has put his hands in the back or not. The arms come up for sure, but anyone trying to tell me for sure one way or another from that angle is a fool. However, I do note the umpire ran in from a position where he would have the perfect angle to see. Given the fact that I can tell that there might have been a push and the umpire had the position to see it I'm satisfied with the decision.

Umpire was on the opposite side to most of the crowd and the commentary position wasn't he? Would explain that he'd be able to see something others might not have.

You would have to be a fool to think Duldig wasn't ridden into the ground. As for the match winning free kick, one of the softest free kicks you can get. Sturt player was penalized for judging the ball better in the end. People complain about the game getting soft, yet are happy for free kicks be paid like the one against Sturt.

arcadefire i have spoken to a league umpire who said that he would have paid the mark to McLeay, not a push in the back. just shows you that 3 umpires always come up with 3 different rules.

I must have seen a different replay. The one I saw Duldig went to ground after the contest and the Eagles defender avoided falling into his back as he fell forward as well. Definitely no free kick.

And like I said, the other one you need a different angle to say one way or another.

If you are referring to me then you can stick it, coz I live in the country and can only get a few minor round games and the finals.
Can't help it that the three games I've seen this year have all been wins 8)
