The player going to the tribunal did wear #8 that day...

ok lets get the truth out there instead of pure lies, i saw the incident and this is what happen no bulls#it but the truth here it is, number 8 is being investigated for nothing more than being ran into by a plympton player no 8 was down picking up the ball the plympton player was the one that made contact by running into no 8 .no 8 had the ball in his hand when the hit occured and then hand ball the footy to no 3 from blodge and i could quite clearly here the umpire say great bump play on. so how the hell do your so called witnesses say your player was king hit. when the player in question had the ball in his hand yes he probably braced himself for contact but your player was the one who made the contact, maybe he should of layed a tackle insted of trying to make front on contact, and how come not one of your players come over and had a go at no 8. Ill tell you why because there was nothing in this incident at all. but i guess we will see how the powers to be at saafl on tues night look at this and how much truth or bullsh#t is told. imo the player has no case to answer.

HV by 21 points in the A's and 16 points in the B's. Well played Hope Valley yesterday, totally outplayed us in both grades. In both grades we played well in patches but those patches too few and far between. HV simply just wanted it more and hit the ball and the body harder than we did.

Even though we lost by small magins yesterday, we were quite poor in both grades. We didn't start well and didn't help ourselves with simple mistakes, not taking the ball cleanly, turning it over and burning the ball too much, not being accountable and most of all not turning up with the right attitude and coming switched on ready to play and hit the ball and body hard.

Things did get a little bit hectic after both games as a few guys vented their frustrations, which was fair enough, losing 2 very winnerable games against AL and HV is very frustrating. It's so important now that we stick together, work as hard as we can and give it a red hot crack in the next 8 games to give us the best opportunity to first of all save ourselves from any chance of relegation and if we can do that build towards a possible finals berth.

Next week we host Lockleys at home, we must win as simple as that. We can't afford to make anymore excuses in the next 8 games, we're playing for our season now.

You were good mate, plenty of the ball and used it well. Lucky for you Charlie was running water, you'll certainly put your name in the mix after yesterday. :)

And meet her I did. :) As I said yesterday, I was impessed with the temporary away changerooms. 10 times better than Golden Grove temporary changerooms from a couple of years ago. There was more room in there than most other clubs away changerooms. The showers were great.

Well Done to Lockleys A grade with their win over The Hawks.

Starting to play some smart football the last couple of Rounds. Great to hear that some Living Legends have got involved and are passing on their 1st Class experience Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The challenge for the players will be too listen, learn and get some consistency Tuesdays, Thursdays AND Saturdays. A good start to the back 9!

Anything is still possible in this comp for those who are accountable AND playing winning footy or at least having a red hot crack. Those who just go thru the motions will be dissapointed. 8)

Hard make a judgement after one game but from what I saw he was ok, didn't set the world on fire but did some good things when he had the ball in his hands. He is a very handy pick up for us and just needs to play and get through a couple games to get some form and fitness back.

Thanks mate, you were pretty handy yourself down back. In the b's i thought we were very switched on and was pleasing to see the lads resist the challenges you threw at us throughout the 2nd and late in the 3rd. Interesting to note that our 5 best players were all under 21 which is pleasing for the development of the A grade. Fantastic result for charlie and the A Graders. 2 wins in a row gives us some real belief and with some massive games coming up its great to get some confidence through the playing group and belief in the game plan.

Look forward to this week vs. West Croydon. No greater challenge that playing the hawks on their home deck, they will be breathing fire after yesterdays upset. Hopefully we can jag 2 wins and the c's can do the job against kenilworth to bounce back.

Wait till you see the NEW away changerooms. I snuck in yesterday and had a look and the away changerooms were pretty good. Almost as big as our old home changerooms! Way too good for my liking. Might have to take the globes out to make it a little bit uncomfortable for the visiting sides!!

I also got my first look at NH's away changerooms on saturday. Well, it was the first time I've been able to actually see in there. The lights must have been too bright for our C grade because our boys looked like rabbits in headlights out on the oval...

Just wanna congratulate Div 5 clubs. So close, top beats bottom, bottom beats top. 6 teams on same points. any team who is relegated this year will be very unlucky. The two who make the GF will thoroughly deserve it. Games have been close and in good spirit. Great to see!!

Very impressive ladder. In just 1 win the bottom team can jump to 3rd. Not too often you see that!

No club should condone spectators giving the player some words at the time of any incident or after. It is a matter for the Association to investigate after the event. Spectator words would not un-brake a jaw, unless you've got some indian dreamtime healer's supporting your club.

Don't know about that Zed. No Stubberfield helped - he's the one that messes with the Lockleys boys heads and until they realise he's just flesh and bone AND is under the same rules as everyone else, he will continue to mess with their heads.

I'm sure the big fella can handle himself on and off the field, but I have only ever seen him play at the ball. Granted he runs straight at it or thru the player with it, but I have never seen him do anything that is outside the rules. He's a big guy who plays the game the way it should be played. And he adds some theatre to go with it - Good on him! He gives A5 a bit of colour and entertainment, personally I think he's good for the comp. Time for the Lockleys Boys to get over him and last Saturday was the 1st step in doing so, hopefully they get to play against the Big Fella later in the year.

Now that would be worth talking about. 8)
