Why wouldn`t they have waited till Barmera had an away game and a week off to give the ground a few weeks to settle down.Without seeing the condition of the ground I hope no one gets a serious injury tomorrow. It may be an expensive exercise for the council .With Waikerie needing to win I`m sure it will be a cracking game.

It has taken almost three weeks to install the whole system which has been during two away games and the inter league game. I believe an inspection was to be done today if it was okay to play on but the main thing I noticed (on thursday) is where the small trenches are accross the ground for the piping it is VERY dry but the ground shouldn't move too much. The council has sheduled for the Berri oval to have their drippers installed during the summer which will interfere with the cricket season.

Cant wait for that. Hopefully should be the end of the oval sprinklers periodically coming on friday nights, resulting in less dodgy wickets. :D

I reckon Loxton's was done last year during cricket season. We couldn't play on it for a couple of weeks.

Funny, we couldn't play on it for about five years before either. Nothing to do with sprinklers really. Lol

Apologies lads, not going through the history here.

Not sure if you're aware, but the papers over here (Melbs) all quote Ricciuto as 'lamenting the death of his junior club Waikerie and the league it was in'.

On looking at this, I'd say the comp is very much alive and well....

Did anyone see this? What gives?

Cheers,

Similar to the big bang theory, the RFL was sucked into a black hole circa 2001. A subsequent explosion led to its reformation about 20 minutes later. The RFL will never be the same again.
