I'm not sure about that. I think Head played a lot of footy across half forward, and as a rover resting in the pocket. Maybe those who watched West Torrens more than I did can set us straight.

That is pretty much my memory of Rexie Johns too. Port's method made it hard for the full forward and I too recall him having to scrounge for goals which he was fantastic at.
As an aside the Williams who was Sturt's best player in Mal's report was Glynn Williams younger brother of Fos
