Heard Portland had a great victory over Aldinga. Things seem to be really coming together down at thunder land. My mail is they are a huge chance to take the 2007 div 4 flag out. Have been very active in recruiting and have some great kids ready to step up. Have heard that one of their ultra soft players has left the club and signed with Marion. This can only be beneficial for the thunder.
Ouch Newman, please tell me who is the player who left for Marion (who are also looking on the improve with Ben McEntee playing CHF)
Portland will be a formidable force, very knowledgable reserves coach who will develop fringe players Im sure however the senior coach is not the best skilled and/or drilled technician from all accounts.
BTW - Aldinga are one of bottom SFL clubs, Im not bagging a good performance by the thunder but Id love to have seen them take on a quality opposition of soughts, maybe a div 3 club?
Winning form is good form and im sure the thunders youngsters will gain a lot of confidence from the win. The player i mentioned is the son of a former head honcho of the club.
Might be touch unfair there Newman - dont think he has signed at Marion, just sniffing around, if we are talking about the same player.
It was a good effort against Aldinga, but you are right FM, you cant really gauge how good you are until the real stuff starts.
The reserves coach at Portland is all piss and wind too
Felch I wont lie, I never have rated the current head coach at portland, nice enough guy but the drills are nothing short of atrocious. Replica of an U/19 training squad during try outs.
I really hope they are making full use of the reserves coach while he's still around, he may get poached to head up a neighbouring club in 08...
Id send Reec packing if he is sniffing, that sought of stuff can rot a club. Everyone has to be committed surely to what your trying to achieve.

Felcher Im not selling anything big fella, this is a forum for freedom of speech so dont get ya back up.
If the reserves coach decides to spread his wings I think he would be well recieved is all.
Yeah Pag, Hams is the senior coach. Any reports from your good self, you obviously know of him?
