Also well done to Diddles to back up last years win with another 2nd placing, think that makes it 4 top 3 finishes for him now, with an ounce of luck could have one all 4 a be talked about as one of the great country footballers of this melennium, even if Lubcke doesnt think so.

Well done to young Sammy on the accolade, think I tipped him to win the Schluter mid year.
Would be the first donny without a tough sticker, shaved head or goatie to take home the gong
Donny's have now compiled a nice list of medalists since joining the BL&G.
Will the donnys take the Schluter and Flag quinella.
Schuby informs me Diddles has now 1 Schluter and 3 runner-ups.

That’s funny I could have sworn you didn’t think he had the goods to win it.

I reckon the most recent Gawler Central winner had all three...

well deserved win for Sammy Walton in winning the Schluter medal
Diddles effort to be runner -up for a third time is also a great effort
Should be a cracker of a game on Saturday between centrals and Willaston and will interesting to see how many people from the Valley come down and watch the game.
If it's wet I would expect a smaller crowd than normal and that will show the Assoc that finals at the dog track are a liability.
Think centrals will get up by about 3 goals.

Has the Grandstand been repaired and open as yet?

If its wet and the Grandstand cant be used there isnt going to be anwhere to watch the games from without getting wet apart from your own cars.

Grandstand still fenced off unfortunately. Its a council building and there is pretty much no chance of getting them to spend any money on grounds at the moment with their current budget situation. They have said 18 months before they will consider it...

Yeah it sure will be...

I'm just shocked the council condemned the thing a week out from the Gawler show!

King (light hamstring strain) and Damien Hillebrand (unsure) were the only major outs, although Joel Oxenham (pretty handy) was released to the senior colts' team. Tanunda IS that good!

GC always seem to struggle a bit against Willaston for some reason, thus I'm tipping Willaston by 14 points.

Well done to Walton on his medal, only saw him play twice this year and he looked really good on both occasions, carries himself well on the field and I'm sure off it. For all the criticism that Harvey gets from us, I would think his runner up award probably does have to say that he his one of the great player's and an asset to this league and certainly back's up that his previous awards where well deserved.

I would also like to take this opportunity to stick it up the few at the begining of this season that said Wells was no good now that he did not have a decent mid field around him. He polled well and has had a belter of a season getting in the best players virtually every week, represented his zone and state. He may not win every ruck tap but his work around the ground his fantastic.

Whoever said that about billy wells knows very little about football. Best Ruckman in the BLG the past 3-4 years.
