at first thought it must be in the constution but then read it completely and that looks like not the case
if the club is going in that direction they are making a huge mistake
matty has taken that club by the scruff of the neck, turned it around both on and off field, their discipline and their overall football skill has improved more than nearly any other club in the league
he took it to a place where players actually wanted to go to
imo west croydon have made a huge mistake unless of course matty has decided to have a rest

I believe Mat asked them to advertise as he isn't sure that he can take them to the next level. They would have appointed him coach, no doubt.

Does that mean he will coach Rosewater? or will he coach West Croyden if they don't get anybody better?

Maybe they did, maybe there Psychic and didn't need they're sight to pick the team.

woodublieve12 wrote:Tim Dunkley.... Why is roach on the bench?? Rumbelow why is he in the side???

Does it matter if he is or isn't?? You never know, our TOTY could play a game and one of the midfielders starting on the ground could break their leg in the first 10 seconds of the game and Roach could be straight on the ground.

And anyways, like any player I'm sure Roach would be happy that his efforts have been highlighted and that he was selected in the team, regardless of his postion.

I'd assume that the people involved in selecting the Div 5 TOTY thought and agreed that Woodrow, Steele, Allen, Duggan and Stormonth had better seasons than Roach and therefore were selected on the ground before him.

Love how all you whingers sit back and criticise someone's effort to pick a team of the year. 3 years ago you didn't even have one named unless you were in Division 1. It's easy to sit there and say why is this bloke here? why isn't that bloke in the side? once somebody else has put a side up!

There is probably 30 players who could warrant a spot in the side. Only 22 can be picked

Why don't you sooks actually put one up yourselves and see how hard a job it would be. Otherwise, shut the f@#k up and appreciate that there is even a Team of the Year named for this division. Well done to the Footy Budget and its writers for leading the way in giving the lower divisions some excellent coverage =D>

My post was directed at ALL the posts so far. Not yours specifically. Yours was just the one that tipped me over the edge.

You can have an opinion, just not sure how much that opinion means when you hardly watched any div 5 footy at all this year...?

secondly i may not have seen as many games of others, but what ive seen is enough to stick to my opinion on the players ive mentioned

So what you are saying if he does not coach West Croydon, he will not coach at all. I find that hard to believe, he is such a good coach not to coach at all.

Sorry mate but one of the joys of having 'teams of the year' is the opportunity to argue the point over who was selected and who wasn't, at that point the selectors of these sides should sit back and enjoy the fact that they have been the calalyst for some great conversation and debate.

I don't think calling these people sooks is warranted.

We are in essence giving these writers the greatest compliment of all, making thier piece of literature the focal point and talking about it.

The greatest writers aren't that vain that they constantly need to have wind blown up thier arse and need to be told how good a job they are doing, they simply take pride out of the fact that people are reading it, enjoying it, and talking about it.

If it were me I'd rather have people arguing the point about it than have no one even mention it.

I don't think its the readers that are sooking.

Agreed 100%.

And to add to this its unfortunate but the facts are these the people picking the side may have only see them play a hand full of times hence the decision to have 3 or 4 have feedback on picking the team.

Remembering it is the amautre league they dont have hours of footage to go through and look at. How many all australian sides have gone through with everyone happy and no glaring omissions??? i'd say none!

These teams are a great idea by the budget and i hope they continue to do a great job
you've gota keep on keep'n on .........

And for the record I haven't said bugger all about the Team simply because I don't know enough about the rest of the players in the comp, they all look the same to me! I guess that's what happens when your paroletic everytime you watch.

But if i was more clued up about it i'd be debating feverishly, not as a put down to the selectors/writers, but because we can.
