May be a stupid question, but I have curently a Nokia E72 and thinking of the S2. Would i be able to take the sim card out of the S2 and put it in the smaller E72 for when i go out etc?

E72 just uses the regular small sim thats been around for years? Pretty sure the S2 isn't using the microsim the iphone uses.
So I finally made the jump & got one of these puppies yesterday. Really impressed with it so far. Only probably is it has sync all my email contacts from facebook. They don't show up as contacts when searching via 'contacts' but when i go to add a message receipent they appear. Really annoying as (and has already happened) when i select a contact & think i'm sending them a text it is actually an email.
Is there anyway of removing these email addresses?
I have already worked out i can join them, But there are quite a number of people i don't have phone numbers for so i'd like to get rid of these email addresses. Hope that makes sense to you gurus.
Thanks mate did the trick. Although when I went to sync with with current contacts, no contacts were sync'd at all (even contacts that i have both mobile & email for).

Yeh I dont link mine.
I found if the names in my phone are slightly different they dont link.
Make sure you got your charger on you every where you go, battery jumps all over the place, not sure how long you blokes have had yours for but few months down the track my mate started having problems with his, freezing, battery just draining constantly and sometimes not even charging.
I had the S, but problem after problem caused me to smash it, regret getting it, should have gone the iphone!
Don't go an Iphone mate, I get better battery life with my Galaxy S2 than my Iphone plus the Galaxy gives me the option of having spare batteries to use if needed. (and that was with an Iphone that could only have one application running on it any one time) You just need to either get a decent app or read the many instructions on what settings you need to have for optimal battery use. I've had mine over 4 months and still get much better battery life than my Iphone ever did.

Was that the S2? My brother in law had the same issue, went back to his iphone and has had no problems since.
I've been anti iphone and pro Galaxy but I'm now either going to go the S2 and take my chances or go the iphone. I'm starting to see the iphone as the Toyota of the phone industry and S2 as it's unreliable cousin. THe S2 might have more functionality but I've heard of heaps of people have problems with them not charging etc. Not like the iphone which is the less functional but more reliable alternative.
Im not to sure at the moment wedge, im a little lost at the moment, when does the iphone 5 come out and how does that look? im probably just going to hold off for a bit and see what comes out.... but with the S2 my mate did download an app that kills off all apps in use, to save battery and that did help a bit.
gadj, yep was the S2 mate, he bought it, had no problems with it for the first month, then problem after problem..... he regrets buying it and wants to get an iphone, but is just making do for the time being, as there will be a few more new models and updates and on the way out soon i think.

Iphone 5 wont be out for a long time, probably around the time a Galaxy S3 is out that will trump it. I wouldn't give up my radio, being able to carry spare batteries, my phone being more customisable and not having to deal with Itunes for hundreds of dollars. Even though the bigger screen of the Galaxy initially put me off I don't think I could go back to the smaller size of an Itune using my phone for watching many tv shows and browsing, etc too.

Wegs, will the S3 trump it for reliability though - that seems to be holding it back from what I've seen and heard. My missus has an S2 and uses it to ummmm, phone people and send a few messages. So far, it works well! For me, I'm not sold just yet.
By the way, my brother in law who had all the trouble with the S2 works for Optus and has had more mobile phones than I've had hot dinners. He HATES the S2 even though they currently outsell the iphone. I wonder if they continue to outsell them when he new versions arrive.
Gadj your missus should be very happy as the Samsung is so much better to actually use as a phone than an Iphone its ridiculous. I'd stopped using my phone to make phone calls when I had an Iphone due to drop outs and poor reception. Im gradually learning to talk to people again instead of sending them a pm on Safooty!
Ive said it before and Ill say it again though. The Iphone does win in the simplicity of use because its such a rigid machine. Id recommend it to any IT illiterates who want a smart phone but even then dunces at work arent keen because of Itunes, its lack of a radio and not being able to swap batteries.
Id imagine sales people wouldnt like the Samsung because of the amount of dunces that now want one but dont know what to do with it.
