My experience was uneventful - however took the "precaution" of arranging it during 2004 Olympics + a weeks accrued sick leave "just in case"! Had a cold beer regularly placed on groin region as pain relief. Didn't need either precaution, but it was the incentive that tipped me over the edge!

Can't say I've been enjoying the ice pack too much but things are feeling OK at the moment. I'm sure a day watching the cricket will help... Have to say that the needle didn't seem to have a lot of effect cos it seemed like I felt way more than I should have !! Only the week before I had a melanoma removed from the back of my head and didn't feel a thing yet I felt most of the snip....

These stories are not helping...

Bump.

Still haven't gotten around to it.

But, if the following story in the fishwrap is true, I might not need to:

I've watched some videos on the interwebs, and I can do it for you if you want pseudo. Just have to hold steady when I bring the cleaver down.

hahaha I had mine done last year just checking in have any of you bloke who have the refferral on the fridge been done yet. Mines I was knocked out to it. I asked why and the Doctor replied he was fed up stitching up feet and toes. Some guys seem to kick when a scalpel is placed near that region.

Didn't go through with it. :D

Ain't much point in going through with it for a while, now that 'er indoors has a long-term "implanon" implant in the arm...
