Offer has to stand, they can either withdraw their offer or go through with it, they'll look for salt damp, poor wiring, sinking and shit like that.
They have to be sure that they aren't up for 20K in repairs 6 months down the track, it's a must when buying a house IMO, should've done the inspection before submitting their offer.
Unless there are obvious faults, you should be safe with the sale.

Yep, LM is right. We bought our place almost a year ago and put our offer in with 'subject to building and pest inspections'. Termites are my only major concern, I don't reckon we have them, and I'm pretty sure the house was built with termimesh (or something like that), but they are sneaky little feckers...
