the catering at the Adelaide Oval is terrible, loving the new vending machines behind the Chapell stands as it means i dont have to deal with the people who work in the Bradman Stand kiosk who take forever serving you because they are too busy talking to each other, then take ages to actually get your order, then worst of all close when there is still 25 overs left of the day! And thats without getting to the quality of the food.....

We have had an offer put in on our house, which we have accepted. The purchasers want to have a building inspection, which is fine, but do they find every little tiny thing, chipped paint etc etc and then drop the price of the offer?

I'm not sure how it works...? Can anyone shed some light on is the building inspector only there to look for big issues or all the small stuff...?

Offer has to stand, they can either withdraw their offer or go through with it, they'll look for salt damp, poor wiring, sinking and shit like that.
They have to be sure that they aren't up for 20K in repairs 6 months down the track, it's a must when buying a house IMO, should've done the inspection before submitting their offer.
Unless there are obvious faults, you should be safe with the sale.

Ok, cool thanks for the info....

Termites are my only major concern, I don't reckon we have them, and I'm pretty sure the house was built with termimesh (or something like that), but they are sneaky little feckers...

Yep, LM is right. We bought our place almost a year ago and put our offer in with 'subject to building and pest inspections'. If theres nothing major you shouldn't need to worry.
