Must have been Lobethal, Hahndorf played Morphett Vale.
Played Lobethal. After having a big lead at half time Barossa let it slip to be down by a point or 2 at 3/4 time and got up by a couple goals in the end.
2012 will see the donnybrooks continue to iron out their game plan and sit mid pack during the minor round only to top their 2011 finals heroics and reverse the order on the chimney..
Tanunda Barossa Kapunda Willaston
Freeling South Nurioopta Central Angaston

Finally some sense..... We're certainly concentrating on the clubs who seem to have recruited big over summer. Willaston with their ten new players?! And South with the new team that will return them to the elite; not forgetting Barossa who've picked up some returning stars....We here it every year, but who seriously thinks they'll challenge Nuri. Willaston spent a fortune and a few new tricks last year. They got flogged! But they got to the grand final. There seems to be a few clubs who've been particularly quiet - perhaps deliberately/ Nuri and Kapunda missed the four by inches last year; they reckon they've got better teams, but no showboating in the forums. What about the millionaires at Freeling? Suspiciously quiet? Forget the hype from the usual places, it's looking like a good season. Big names mean nothing - big TEAMS win the finals. I can't wait!!!
Tanunda - Another year, another premiership. Still too much class in that side. Barossa - Picked up some good quality players and will improve. Willaston - Probably a coin toss between the Donnies and Doggies for that second spot. Kapunda - Should improve again with some handy inclusions and have the luxury of three class ruckmen (McKenzie, Ad.Turrel and T.Johnson).
Gawler Central - A few quality players out but it won't be the cataclysmic collapse of the Tigers like many are predicting, they're still ahead of the bottom four. South - Tipping them to be the big improvers (although that's been said before). A young side that will get better each year if the Lions can keep them together but also some solid recruits. Nuriootpa - Some huge outs that I'm not sure have been covered through recruitment in Taylor, Tregenza, T.Gogoll, Kaesler and Hamilton. Freeling - Slightly negative loss in terms of recruitment. 8th last year and can't see them finishing higher than 7th. Angaston - Might surprise me and win a few but are light years off the top 4-5. Keen to see Wittwer in action in the BL&G.

Oh, son Josh has a clearance pending form a month ago, he was listed to play ressies at Centrals on the weekend.
Believe Joshy has some mates at the Panthers, would assume he'd play reserves at Centrals for the most part but would love to see him having a kick in the Barossa if it happens.

Joshy should play two's for the Dogs but loves to be loved and wanted a fair whack of coin in the event he gets dropped or there's a bye
Any reason we can't play a game on Anzac Day this year. One off game would be great and a huge draw card for the home club. This year Anzac Day falls on a Wednesday could play so Souh v Willaston on the day and give one of the teams a bye next round. Surely a club could get up and ready for a game in 3 days with some forward thinking.

Angaston started to develop an Anzac Day game against Nuri a few years back, however the BL&G program wasn't generous enough to schedule this game each year. This initiative should have been embraced better by Nobby and co. Having said that, the panthers have an Anzac medal awarded to the best player of that game played closest to Anzac Day. Jamo has ensured great envolvement from the local diggers for this day. I celebrate in my own little way!

Any truth in this story I was told over a beer and barramundi on Good Friday?
Joel Campbell has 'walked away' from Willaston because he copped some serious ribbing from team mates about the added pounds he put on around his girth over the summer and he took it very seriously.
Think Kingo has a full time gig changing nappies at the moment, May have followed C.Harvey to Mannum for all I know..... We have dragged in a few Glenelg boys though... They are our feeder club. We are quietly confident in them thar hills this year.

Believe he was playing in the territory with his brothers during the off season. Thought he would be better prepared than most.
