I'd love to hear the reasons from an APFL board member as to why Mills and Banton from United were suspended for todays matches while Light, Cicolella, Herberle, Feast, Featherstone-alphabet all of whom made themselves unavailable last week were free to play. Somehow I think it would be quite amusing. Not that it really matters cos they all played in loosing teams today........... and United won.

Heberle was suspended apparently. Hamley played him anyway!
Should be an interesting fallout from this.

I would say the fit is about to hit the shan!
Is it 100% he was suspended?

That is one train of thought but on the other hand, if this is the case, expect a hefty penalty.
There was mention of stripping the club of hosting its final this year.
That would be huge I imagine

HB will have a fair battle on its hands without Heberle. Plenty of depth at Mallala
Thach to turn it on big time, his mate Hanson will give him the support and kick a bag. The Mallala depth must surely be getting tested, they were semi depleted against Virginia and capitalized on the Rams' poor disposal.

This is going to get very interesting - I have no doubt the league thinks they can strip the game off Hamley - but can they under the constitution as it currently stands?

The problem is the constitution was completely ignored by playing Heberle.
I believe HB had its reasons but gee whiz, it's a ballsy stand to take considering what the fallout could be.

Not to mention the financial gain from hosting a final.. They are no orphan by being shafted by this rule But I just think they have gone the wrong way about it

It's not pretty.
Can see both sides of the coin here, because in essence, Heberle was not unavailable to play association, therefore no suspension should have applied in the first place - from a HB point of view that is.
This can go two ways:
1) HB gets a hefty penalty, it will be the last straw for Newton Lines and he will resign from the presidency.
2) League backs down, HB gets a small reprimand of some sort.
I don't like the odds of the second option but IMO, it's probably the preferable one in the grand scheme of things.
