How many players has Browny sent to the Den this year? has he been up to his old tricks. Heard that Fry from Willaston wanted to go to South, but think he was a donny junior.

Yep that is exactly right Ash wanted in at Souths but Willaston had no problem denying him. Pooraka were keen on Ash but he didnt want to play such a low standard so he will play at Willaston just so he can have a kick. Not the way you would think you would want to be recruting players, no passion to be there.

Not sure if it was Browny who sent Nick out to the Lions as Nick has been playing with the Roosters this season so dont know how much he has had to do with Browny since leaving Centrals.

Ben Schiller, Leigh Westhoff, Nick Schmidt, Tom Schiller, Luke Wells (Tanunda), Brad Sugars, Mark Ruwoldt, Phil Bennett (Angaston), Billy Nicholls, Duncan Cragg-Sapsford (Nuriootpa), Justin Zanandrea (Kapunda), Sam Walton, Jarrad McDonald (Willaston), Matt Foldesdy (South Gawler)[/quote]

congratulations to the bl&g best players for putting their hands up for this concept. Hope these blokes can do us proud.
While on the topic, Believe 5-6 of these players are on the move or getting moved on from their clubs and looking to add to their resume for 2013 negotiations.

Anyone know what happened to Westhoff at the zone championships, sounds as though he got stretchered off and placed into a waiting ambulance.

Well to answer my own question, I have heard that Westhoff either broke his leg or anckle at the championships. Blockies will be really pleased with this outcome for a somewhat insignificant carnival. From what I can see the Blockies put 8 odd players into the eatsern zone, wonder if their enthusiasm will be as high next year since some clubs don't wat to put any players up.

Heart does go out to Westhoff though, he was in great form and was certainly a mail medal favourite.

Skipper, Westhoff returned to the ground at the end of match against Central zone with his foot in plaster, believe it is a broken ankle but hopes are that he may be available for finals. Also noticed Luke Wells limping pretty significantly during yesterday's match so maybe the Blockies depth could be tested as he would hardly appear fully fit.
However, well worth the effort by those guys from each zone who put their hands up to play. :D

Come now Boundry, you may notice I said 8 odd, wasn't sure on how many, hardly worth a snipe, whats a few between friends anyway and since we support the same club I will look forward to you shouting me a drink on Thursday night. Dispite whether it is 8 odd or 5, it is still a massive effort from one club.

In a sign of the sad times we are living in I must regretfully report that the association has now brought in a rule whereby clubs will no longer be able to bring a carton of beer into away games for their A and B Grade to share after a tough day on the park.

I am told this is due to licencing restrictions and that clubs will still be able to organise a carton to be provided by the home team at an agreed price. I do understand that the association have their hands tied due to licencing laws and so on but I sincerely hope we arent placed in a situation where home clubs force lukewarm West End Draught tins on the visiting clubs....

Personally I blame the Carbon Tax...

Believe that one club bought this up, as apparently "B Grade players are drinking too much and getting out of control after their games". Well, 21 players in the side, 24 beers in the carton - who are they kidding?

You are kidding me, another rule due to the doo gooders of society, personnaly I blame the carbon tax as well plus the mining tax and asylum seekers (basically Julia & her mates the Greens).

B graders have been getting out of control for decades, they get a 2 hour head start on the A graders, fumble around the netballers later in the night and get nowhere, all good fun.

Very sad turn of events for football and society if that is the case.
How can clubs survive with the continued beaurocracy of public liability, drinking permits for b-graders, etc......
I haven't been able to get involved around the club since failing the police check a few years back!
As a thinker in residence, I will look to showing this new proposal complete disregard.
Next Nobby will be putting the price up at the gate because of the carbon tax.

Spot on all it would take is for the oposing club to donate a carton of beer to the home club and then they sell it back for a token sum of $1.

Remarkable game at the Den today, Willaston dominated for 3 1/2 quarters and led by 7 goals halfway through the last before South came home with a rush and got up by 7 points.

Heard that Freeling was given a massive spray at 3/4 by the coach, included a fair few insults. Rumour is he spat the chewy, dropped the whiteboard on the ground and walked off the ground
