Some more inspirational words from coach Irving at 3qtr time of yesterdays match... I believe the word "embarrassment" was used with much force. Most definitely out of the picture come seasons end, and after yesterdays thumping, could be walking already.

Don't really blame him as most of the players had walked away from him before he finished his speech. I suppose they still all got paid though?
I heard him suggest they should not have got on the turps on Friday, as apparently they did - and he also suggested they " go forth and multiply". It was embarassing to watch.
Will he be coaching next week? Seems one of the players was rehearsing for the role on the field. Isn't there some saying about making your own nest and having to lie in it....?

That is the culture amongst many at the Donnies and until that changes they will keep getting the same results. Those that have tried to change that have been spat out very quickly. It seems another coach will/has been marched out.

You have to start somewhere so why not give joel the job. If he fails try another bloke, wont matter much anyway, tanunda are still dominating and not many sides are knocking them off just yet. Willastons commitee need to get a coach who listens to those around him, Irving seems to just go with what he sees best for him and not the club. Coaches who are buddy buddy with star players, wont win you premierships, time to wake up willaston.

Acker looked classy and a cut above the rest with clean disposal. Centrals were definetaly looking for him around the ground and the central faithfal (Songer and Kingy) applauded ever posession. Was the biggest crowd I've seen at the dog track.
Not only is Irving on his way out, if my Angaston source is correct they will now be searching for a new coach next year.

Tanunda - Britton SAFE/STAYING
Kapunda - Brown SAFE/STAYING
South - Lee SAFE/STAYING
Barossa - James SAFE/STAYING

Nuriootpa - Salter UNSURE/WANTS TO STAY
Willaston - Irving GONE/GONE
Freeling - Tyler UNSURE/UNSURE
Gawler Central - Herzick SAFE/STAYING
Angaston - Haddin UNSURE/WANTS TO STAY

Given some of the recent rumours and actions, i think the above is close to the mark... any indications as to what people think may happen in the BLG coaching landscape?

Watching the game Aker was the difference. Not that he dominated the game but was simply to classy and polished, he finished with 4 goal which was also the end result of the game. Well done to GC for getting on the front foot and making this happen thought that the crowd was good and looked like it was going to be a big night for the Gawler Central club. Obviously Extractor still recovering as we have not heard from him so far this week.

I think the game would have been a nail biter if Aker didn't play, nothing between the two sides and would have been good to see who would have come out on top.

I think Craig Dawe would be a good appointment. Heard the chielf magnet board boy Kocko has put his name up for both Brooks and Ango roles again. Looking to step out of Seelanders shadow after now freeing up his summer vacations.

Yes it was a fantastic night at the club. As you would expect Aker was very entertaining and had plenty of stories and didnt hold back at all. He basically went through his life story from when he was a young bloke until now and then did a Q&A session afterwards. I think he left the club about 11ish but things did tend to get a bit blurry after about 9pm!

I havent got much to say about the game as I was unfortunately recruited to BBQ cooking duty from half time onwards...From what I saw though Aker didnt miss too many targets

Ben Walton would be a standout if they could convince him to coach.Great lad with fantastic football brain and would not take shit from any of the players.I have heard they are talking with a current Central Districts player but can't find out the name at this stage.Apparently not the Gowans lads but has played in a number of there premiership over the last 11 years. Was a rumor Havelberg is coming back from WA and may play with the Donnies next year.He would be a zero point player.Dusty Millar could be the wild card.
