Did he get reported?

That would be the same thug that was swinging his elbows around like an outback dunny door against south the other week also and believe makris was on the end of one that left him heavily concussed. And from what i heard makris wasn't the only one on the end of a loose swinging elbow or forearm well of the ball from the same twat. I heard walton suffered a broken jaw not sure if that is the case though.

From my mate used to play there said cambell near certain to coach next year.

Freeling might just be looking around for one also if my info is correct. Campbell not enough qualifications to coach IMO, would be another backward step for the Donnies.

Thanks for the compliment on the footy coverage. I'll accept your front page criticism - we wanted an attention grabber to highlight what many perceive to be an ongoing issue in Gawler. We knew it would divide opinion. We've copped brickbats and bouquets for that one.
You'll note we asked the question whether there was a seedy underbelly. We didn't say there was. Hopefully, at least, it's got people discussing the issue.

Bunyip coverage best of the 3 local rags by far IMO.Thought it may struggle losing Robert Laidlaw but has maintained high standard and is a good read each week

Thanks, Sam. We've worked hard on it as we knew our credibility was on the line, having lost a staunch football writer in Rob. We can still improve.

Willaston and Angaston at this stage, although Daisy may see himself as the leading candidate for the latter.

On the topic of coaches, what would a coach in the BL&G be worth?
Heard some rumours yesterday that Tylor is on 40-50k, this sounds a little excessive but is that the going rate?

20k would be absolute top of the tree for non-playing, but most would be around the 10-12k mark IMO

Just heard it bandied around yesterday, one Freeling supporter commented on how disgraceful it is that Tylor the f**kwit was on more than all the players put together

Been a couple of excellent years (crop wise) out Feeling way (as always) - perhaps they were cashed up and did have the $ being bandied about for a coach.

I find it hard to believe he is on that much, the good old footy rumour mill always at least doubles most player and coach payments.

Believe Greenwood was asking 35k to play and coach Freeling. I think thats pretty close to what he got, because he turned down a figure less, but near to that from another neighbouring BLG team at the same time.
Tylor didn't play so as a former Div 1 Amateur(?) coach it would be less, but not by much I'd think.

Wonder if it is the same Nuri thug that smashed a Freeling lads jaw in the first round, maybe some legal action happening here so better not drop any names.

Match reports by a nominated person wouldn't be much different to the 'club notes' theme used by most other sports and and are basically one eyed weather reports. Problem with quality comes from papers other than Bunyip not being prepared or able to spend money or invest in multiple writers. Ghost writing OK if you have a good contact - Ken Dadds and Paul McCarthy for example were good for me or sometimes I rang an old mate. Coaches OK only occasionally, but mostly only tell you what they want to tell you.
BBBFM 89.1 has been broadcasting some games this year but have had technical problems a few times. Appear to have solved them and will do Tanunda v Barossa this Saturday and then all the finals. Scores from other games isn't as easy as it sounds, because some too busy or forget or if they have a reunion or function they become unfunctional.

RooShootOhh wrote:Would it be worth while having a nominated person from each club?
The paper educate them before the season on how to write a good article
Only have to do an article for your clubs home games (so only 8 for the season)

Didn't they broadcast the finals games on local radio up there last year?
Why don't they get a major sponsor and do match of the round?
Get scores from the other games during the day.
