Article in todays paper about his signing and also that Warner is yet to sign with anyone. Might like good in a light blue uniform

Master blaster David Warner has quit Sydney Thunder to join cross-town rivals Sydney Sixers after falling out with Thunder general manager John Dyson.

Warner accepted 50 per cent pay cut for a one-off appearance with the Sixers in the KFC T20 Big Bash League because of his reluctance to play under Dyson.

The New Zealand batsman Scott Styris will play in the Big Bash League this season as the second international player for the Hobart Hurricanes. Styris, 37, retired from international cricket last year but has remained a useful Twenty20 player in domestic competitions around the world, having played for two IPL franchises, the Sylhet Royals in Bangladesh and this year for Sussex in England's county competition.

Sydney Sixers confirm they will try and lure Yohan Blake to join Usain Bolt in the KFC T20 Big Bash League

Sprint sensation Yohan Blake has been approached to play in the KFC T20 Big Bash League and Sydney Sixers lead the race for his signature.

Days after Usain Bolt revealed Shane Warne had asked him to play in the BBL, the approach to Blake sets up a potential dream showdown between the world's two fastest men on the cricket fields of Australia this summer.

Blake has recently expressed his desire to play cricket - listing it as his first love above athletics - and Sixers chief executive Stuart Clark will make an offer to the Jamaican if he is available.

"For one he is a great athlete, and yes he would be a marketer's dream, but from all reports he can actually play cricket and that's better than anything else," Clark told News Limited.

"If he can do what he says he can do, and I have no reason to disbelieve him, Yohan would be a marquee player for me to sign. I would definitely be considering it.

"I will need to see some footage of him bowling, but he has been saying he can bowl 90 miles per hour (145kmh), very few people in the world can do that.
I'm gonna break my rusty cage and run

This contrived horse shit was introduced as part of an evil plan to get us to watch 0 League Soccer. And it works.

Dale Steyn will play a one-off match for the Brisbane Heat in the Big Bash League after South Africa's Test tour of Australia finishes in early December. Steyn has signed on to play the Heat's first match of the tournament, against the Hobart Hurricanes at the Gabba, to cover for the Heat's other international fast-bowling recruit, Kemar Roach, who will join the squad after the first game.

A little underhelming IMO:

Strikers sign Tim Ludeman, spinner Cam Boyce and a T20 superstar and one of the world's best spinners, Saeed Ajmal!

Ajmal underwhelming?
Do you watch cricket?
He is number 3 ranked test bowler on the world. Would have been number 1 but Pakis haven't played many tests lately
And he is number one bowler in the world for one dayers and t20
It's a great pick up.
