I see the Nairne juggernaut keeps rolling on....can anyone beat them this year? And is there anyone left at the Prospect CC who hasn't signed up for the Razorbacks......

Re: Adelaide Hills Cricket 2012/13 (HCA, TVCA, A&EH)
Well I reckon my tips for the last round was only 2 winners -
See if I can do any better this round:
Round 6
Sat 24 Nov, 1 Dec Ashbourne v Nairne @ Ashbourne Oval - Nairne to win this game.
Sat 24 Nov, 1 Dec Wistow v Langhorne Creek @ Wistow Oval - Game of the round, hard to pick - go for the Echidna's on the hill.
Sat 24 Nov, 1 Dec Strathalbyn v Lobethal @ Strathalbyn Oval - Strath to bounce back on their home turf
Sat 24 Nov, 1 Dec Woodside v Hahndorf @ Woodside Oval (no. 1) - Woodside to have to many good players for Hahndorf - Woodies for me at home.
Lets see if I can get back on track with 4 winners.

TVCA Round 4:
Mt Torrens 140 def by Lenswood 9/260 (dec). Mt Torrens never threatened during run chase. The veteran Green having a good year for us.
Paracombe 8/234 (dec) def Eden Valley 60 and 161. EV’s second outright loss for the season. Pirates jump to top spot.
Gumeracha 134 def Palmer 128 and 0/46. After being 8/100 Gum sneak home for the win.
Cambrai 7/244 (dec) def Birdwood 192. The Roosters’ healthiest total for some time wasn’t enough. Back-to-back wins for the hosts.

3 LBW's in 4 balls - that old fox Jake Sziller, bowling straight at the stumps... and Clive has given them out.... whatever next?
Ashbourne 1 short, while their B's go top with a few handy players knocking around, seems odd?

They were on short on the weekend due to some personal matters taking priority over cricket

Re: Adelaide Hills Cricket 2012/13 (HCA, TVCA, A&EH)
Well done Dylan Brown on the last two weeks, i was lucky enough to be at the game watching and he battered very well. Maybe he should have gone to town to play this year as he is in very good touch?????
Hills comp seems to be going ok with less sides, good to see Happy Valley & Stirling going well maybe they could come back up next year????
Meadows should still win the flag but after the start to the season, Uraidla with brown and Carter could cause headaches. Mt Lofty have done well maybe they could challenge but would need to play very well against whoever they come up against in finals.
A for the A&EH, i think a few side are under achieving at the moment
Ashbourne & Strathalbyn
Nairne & Woodside seem to have the GF spots already unless Hahndorf, Wistow or Strathalbyn can get going?????
TVCA
Gumeracha is my pick to win the flag now but should get a good contest from Palmer, Paracombe & Lenswood

Clive is the Hardest by a mile to get an LBW out of and to get 3 in 4 balls is unbelievable.
They all must have been Plumb, but even then ????

Ashbourne have improved their list appreciably this year but has yet to be able to translate that into wins...Yet !
Agree that Strath have certainly underachieved not only to the start of this season but also the previous 3 -4 years as well.

Ashbourne will have to wait at least 1 more match for their breakthrough win of the season although an upset is not totally out of the question. Willie is overdue for a bagful of wickets.
The result of Arch rivals Wistow and Creeks who have clashed in a few controversial games over the last decade or two will depend on who IS and who is NOT available for both teams. Could go either way. Wistow at home, slight faves.
Strath need to bounce back with authority against Lobethal to gain some credibility after their poor effort against Hahndorf. Loby scrambled in for their 1st win last week but will be underdog to make it 2 in row.
Woodside at home will systematically dismantle Hahndorf i feel to consolidate their place near the top of the ladder.

Re: Adelaide Hills Cricket 2012/13 (HCA, TVCA, A&EH)
Wistow recovered from 5/56 to finish up 9/225 on the hill against the Creek.
A couple of spilt catches late in the day was probably the difference between 190 and 225. 20 off the last over was a bonus for the home side.
With the Creeks fielding their strongest batting line up for the year next week, 225 should be no where near enough for the Locals as the Hills' outfield starts to brown off but they do have the runs on the board.
Crucial for both sides to get a win here as even this early in the season, more so the Creeks will find it hard to make the top 4 for the loser of this match.
