Ask Matt Slade about contract negotiations with Kris.

Keeping the dream alive I see.

This has to be the best rumour i've heard in 2012 about the premiers ! To cap it off, the Central supporters in particular who have shot themselves in the foot once again ! Whufc, do yourself a favour, take the summer off and i'm sure you'll come back a more embarrassed person! What's funnier though, imagine if Norwood come out of this with a fatter bank balance! Go you 'legs !

Hilarious.
And Forum Police Operative Dogwatcher wonders why I wasn't commenting on a non story.
Umm, no. I didn't wonder why you didn't comment on the non-story. I wondered why you weren't commenting on the thread topic. You could've posted what you did right from the start.
But congrats on it being not proved that you didn't cheat the salary cap.
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

Out of curiosity, what were the gifts that the players received?

I can still hear Kris Grant's comment "it's the best 5 grand we've ever spent" after being found guilty of salary cap breaches and being fined a paltry $5000.
I remember talking to my old mate Staz after the 1975 premiership and after trying to buy a beer he pulled out a roll of $50 notes as thick as my arm. He said Butto had a couple of kitbags full of these. Contributions from generous supporters should not be part of the salary cap any more than a few DVD player should be ... full of cash or not !

Onus of proof would be neccessary if the SANFL, rather than 'someone on the radio', had have accused us of something.
That you're hassling me for not disproving what hasn't been alleged is Kafka-esque to put it politely.
Maybe you're a cop?

Bullshit. SANFL impose their own rules, belief otherwise is just silly. Really.
I'm not at all hassling you. I'm happy that Norwood have not been charged and I wouldn't particularly care if they had cheated the cap. The cap's a farce. Again, I was commenting on your inability to reply to the topic at hand.

I usually have some time for your posts, but this one????? C'mon hammer.
At the risk of being serious within this thread...
There is an article on AdelaideNow which quotes Kym Russell saying the following:
"He said his club knew as far back as June that it could potentially commit a breach notified the SANFL".
If so, then 1. Why wasn't a breach preventable? eg did the club make any effort to work with the players re reduced match payments? 2. Why didn't the SANFL monitor the situation and step in as soon as the breach occurred? Obviously penalty is linked to the size of the breach, (known at season's end), but a projection could have been made.
"Russell blamed the Blood's good run with injuries and more fringe players, who would be paid less if they played reserves, playing consistent league football."
That sentence makes no cents - oops - sense to me at all.
