haha - not far from the truth there BOP. a few of the SN lads must have been in the loop on the "supplies" looking at the size of a few of them.. or just trained at the same gym as your old mate Horse

absolutely dreaming u flogs who that think Salisbury north are the club who spends the big bucks in the league need to have a look at yourselves, your all assuming cause they have a restaurant/pokies that the footy club gets that money and that is far from the case. if you looked over everyones budget you would find they would spend less on players than a lot of clubs but probably more on staff and supplies than most but no where near 200k.

It is a common misconception, not just about Salisbury North, but about most clubs with similar facilities.

that 200k rumor was dropped by andrew jarmen on tripl m last year. it would actually be pretty easy to reach the 200k mark for a div 1 club. 200 a game for 21 players is $75,600 you give them all a sign on bonus of 3,000 there $63,000 together $138,000 then say you have 5 players on 1,000 a game so say 800 there's another $72000 with a total of $210600. no not every club is going to pay every player or give them a 3,000 sign on bonus, but there is also some player on over the 1,000. Now the rumor was they had a 200k budget it doesn't mean they actually spent that amount, someone like st peter's would more then likely have that budget, 10 people to give 20,000 is 200k so it wouldn't be hard.

This is such a ridiculous post that I can't tell if you are taking the piss. What club would be paying all 21 of their best players a 3k sign on fee. None! That's just stupid. Then to think you would get 5 blokes on the 1k a game mark. The reason blokes go to the country driving 2-3 hours every Saturday is because they are not getting anywhere near this amount of cash in the city. There is no way any club in Saafl would be near this figure.

Doesn't every club have 10 people to give 20,000 ?

Every player who pulls on the boots for the A's on any given Saturday at PAOC gets paid, not all the same amount but on a sliding scale.

it was an example of how easy it would to spend 200k. st peter's would definitely be close to having a budget of 200k. There's a lot of very wealthy old scholars out at st peter's.
