Dylan Koler and Scott Burnett took me by surprise.
greenacres are a business not a footy club they dont care about their players thats why their players are leaving they only care about the money its happened for the last few years

so your saying the players that left didnt get paid ....if they were true club people then it is a shame that it happens but if they are just hired players then why should greenies treat them like family if the money drys up will these paid players stick around
Clearly you seem to have a bit of a gripe there Speedy, have you thought about taking this up directly with Greenies as opposed to bagging them on a forum about it?
Just a thought
it doesnt matter how much of a club person you are if the club treats you like shit your not going to stick around
This I agree with however - and I mean ANY club...
My new Mantra - I am no longer available to things and people that make me feel like shit

2 sides to every story but yeah forums no place to bag your club out cause you had a run in with someone

I'd say the percentage of 'people who treated the club like crap only looking to play for easy money' compared to the percentage of 'people who played wholely and solely for the love of the club' would be very one sided speedy.......
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.
From my POV I am getting sick and tired of people constantly taking pot shots at the club, they hide behind a key board, get their mums and dads to ring SAAFL and complain about the way they are getting treated.
So a few FACTS
The playing group signed contracts that had a section in there stating that players must attend all club functions, fund raise themselves with a $10k target which was directly for the players payments , That they would wear club polos etc match days etc ... they supported 1 function last year Ladies night which they did not organise but attended and drank free grog all night, amount raised about 1K... do the math and you will see that we were still close to being 10k short for player payments.
A number of these players then advised us that they will not be playing with us next season and as a result the committee decided that players that had remained "loyal" to the club would be paid first and those that left would be paid last. But all players will get every cent that is owed by the Greenacres FC for the 2012 season.
Now I don't know about everyone else's club but it is difficult to raise funds for footballers out of season. So at Greenies so it has taken time to work through outstanding payment amounts to suppliers, coaches and players but we are 95% of the way there
Opinions and bumholes..you either have one or are one IMO
