I might head for a look, should be some good fights :D

Just seen a few balak guys drinking rum cans. Should guarantee a haymaker or two!

What is this crap about?

So none of you farmer boys at the Water Tower or out in the Hummocks Hills drink run then? It must be all cognacs, single Malts and smoking jackets out your way.

Do they still get the pipes out at half time at Two Wells as well?

Think they are joking hazzzbeeeeeeeeeeen

Mallala beat South Gawler by about 7 goals in a 3 quarter game.
Fairly scrappy game in patches, both sides missing plenty of regulars.
Mallala looked fitter especially through the midfield. Good hitout for both sides and id think both coaches pleased

Mallala did have the wind for 2 of the 3 thirds, they moved the ball more efficiently though, I think they'll go pretty well this season with the outs they had.

United yesterday at home struggled against a half strength willaston, losing by 12-15 goals.... Have 2 good players that if shut down will have a very long year..... Lucky to win a game

im with you westy, I was of the understanding that Willaston had most players in, possibly 4 at most out. United a couple down. Unsure of who exactly from either side.

As has been mentioned before, Trials are not really a true gauge.

Feedback from SGFC vs MFC was that Mallala was a lot fitter then SG, with a considerably higher foot and hand schools; mind you that was from Mallala supporters.

Mallala were cleaner, the wind was very strong and was a typical Mallala wind which they are accustomed to, my sources told me that South Gawler haven't faired too well as far as recruitment and Mallala were without 9 A grade starters including Parish and 2 x Montgomery.
Mallala had 4 giants that were taller than the tallest South Gawler player and their smaller players ran hard all day and didn't waste opportunities in front of goals like their opponents did.
Joel Montgomerie was outstanding as was their CHF.

Like I said before, Mallala did have the wind 2 out of 3 thirds so it was easier going for them, it was blowing a gale and very difficult to go forward and then 2 dobs the other way it was back deep in defence.

Don't think Hamley will be in a rush to play Angle Vale in a trial game again anytime soon. Can't take a lot out of a trial in which a side that misses the top four by a fair gap last season belts an opponent by 22 goals!!
