Good tight contest, with both teams missing some quality players .. Good to see us find some intensity and urgency to hopefully help run a few blokes back to form.
Am lead to believe the half time incident started from an altercation between Bode and Collins

Re: Round 5 Norwood V West Adelaide Post match
Thats the great thing about playing West, with their game style you are never out of the match. A 10 minute purple patch in the 3rd quarter was all that was required.
Time for a new plan Collo, your style will never work against us.
Fantastic games by Baulderstone and Suckling, very happy with Evans' game aswell.
Still plenty of room for improvement and another big test this week.
Must say the umpiring was pathetic today towards both sides, too many blatant frees missed then they would pay something out of nothing

Maybe Jace reminded Collo about the cheap hit in the GF or was he just pointing the way to the goals

Re: Round 5 Norwood V West Adelaide Post match
Not sure what to think after today's game.
While the late withdrawals of Ferguson and Schmidt hurt, I was impressed by our intensity and attack in the first quarter to take a handy lead at the 1/4 time break and keeping Norwood goaless.
A 15 minute patch in the 3rd quarter saw the game swing, Norwood's experience and class showed, too skillful for us.
What left me frustrated was how we would go back into our shell and revert to our old gameplan when the pressure was On, despite showing we can play attacking footy in the first 3 rounds. Also seeing our forward line at the start of the last quarter have keough, Kirk, pointyon amd rankine (between would be lucky to have 10 games experience) rather than try to take the game on amd win it.
Good atmosphere, well done to Norwood

Re: Round 5 Norwood V West Adelaide Post match
Went along for a look, really enjoyable atmosphere, thought there may have been a few more than 6k.
The first 10 minutes by West were fantastic, played with more flair in that time than the entire GF, but then back to the same old stuff. Could really have had the Legs on the ropes at quarter time. Norwood I didn't think were overly impressive in the first half, but played some good footy in the second.
Staggered that everyone else in footy can see it, but Collins can't. The only weakness in there list missing back-up ruckman, Nelson continues to look good for someone who has played so little league footy. They have a forward-line to be envied with Webb, Beech, Silverlock and Slattery. Webb is perhaps the second best FF in the league behind Wundke, but with this style very rarely gets the chance to run and jump at the ball. They have a backline with good speed and skills, who, if anything, should be running forward and kicking plenty of goals.

Perhaps being a neutral you don't notice these things as much, but I thought the umpiring was pretty good with the general intent to let the play go and can't remember too many frees that I didn't think weren't there. Must be a nightmare trying to umpire Westies games though.

I know Bode and Collins clashed in the GF last year when Bodey came off after being king hit, might be a continuation of that?

Neither could land a punch ... Collo couldn't reach around his wallet and Bass couldn't get past his head
Dunno, I’m just an idiot.

Ha ha LOL - gold!
Problem is when the 'bell' went for the fight they both went defensive and ran to the neutral corners!

Difference is Bassett's corner had the Thomas Seymour Hill Cup in it.
