SANFL incompetance ? Definately !

I still wonder who this Foxtel Cup benefits ...
Foxtel ? Why would it, how many would watch it ?
SANFL supporters ? About 500 would watch it ( excluding me ).
SANFL clubs ? Seems more of an inconvenience for a chance to win xxxx all $.
SANFL players ? Oh yeh they will love playing on a cold wet Tuesday night for nothing !
AFL ? Why the xxxx would they be interested in it is beyond me but there must be some agenda we dont know about.

Enlighten me who does this benefit ?

Yeah so whats the point? I think we all agree. Im just saying if the SANFL always intended it that way why schedule us a Saturday night game. Just seems strange.

What's the problem? It's not that much of a time difference for them and East Freo, the Sharks play at 3:40 Adelaide time on Saturday.

East Freo also have the disadvantage of traveling, so it's hard to even take Norwood's whinge seriously.

As much as I hate Bassett - I agree with him 100 percent on this. Just goes to show how much contempt the AFL have for the second tier comps by changing the fixtures. I don't think any other of the 8 coaches would do anything different if it were their clubs.

Whoops - I take this back! After what the SANFL revealed I need to ask is there a bigger DH in the SANFL than Nathan Bassett or is his ego truly that bad that he is just happy appearing obnoxious and or dumb?

Norwood NEVER HAD ANY INTENSION of "boycotting" the Foxtel Cup. It was Rucci who put that word in HIS 'ARTICLE'.

Bass wrote a blog for Norwood members and supporters stating that he would not field a full strength team. Yes he raised objections to the game being played on a Tuesday instead of the bye Saturday. Norwood F.C. was aware when the Foxtel programme was released that the game was on a Tuesday night. However, the club originally agreed to participate in the Foxtel cup on the understanding that our games would be played on a bye weekend. However that changed when the programme was drawn up by Foxtel (presumably).

Bass never said that he only recently found out about the change in programming. He or the club never made any intention to "boycott" the Foxtel cup game.

This whole saga is a media beat up of Biblical proportions that Cecil B. DeMille would have been proud of.
