Whats the rules regarding playing B's then going to a different venue and playing C's. Is this still ok to do or not?

Yes well done to the CLG lads. Game was won in the first quarter and we had to play catch up for the rest of the day. Enjoy your first win but just wish it didn't have to be against us. Very scrappy game of footy due to the win

Well done CLG on the win! Even more happy they won given we produced arguably one of the worst efforts in a very long time vs MP. Always going to be up against it when two of our better on ballers withdrew late and our usual captain who was out injured had to suit up and try to fill a void in a pocket in patches, then to pick up 2x injuries early in the 1st quarter and having a very inexperienced bench was tough going. Disappointed because WE ARE not a 9 goal worse side than Mitchell Park!

I know there is a history and rivalry between MP & IF, but from my perspective with the lads in the C grade it has nothing to do with these kids or this grade, and none would even have any idea about history between the clubs. Having said that I am appreciate to Mitchell Park who were good enough to allow us to use their ball for the entire match since we were unable to provide one  and also for using Luke McDonnell sparingly instead of sticking him in for the whole match to dominate young inexperienced kids again.

Should never have to even say that though, it's absolute f*cking bullsh!t that the rules allow someone whose been playing A grade to drop two grades!

Luke mac played so badly last week he got dropped two grades. Good to see he played so well today redeeming himself that he won promotions back to the ones. If MP are in the relegation zone later in the year, I am sure it will be because of the likes of him and he will be dropped accordingly to the b's or c's.

Btw - good to see mp doing so well on the b's and c's with both in finals contention
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

Thanks to Pultney today. I reckon we had our best game of the year. Tough conditions and a good win. Lost our Skipper today for the year. My heart goes out to Fordy who must leading the medal. Footy can be beautiful and cruel in the same sentence. I reckon all teams would respect the guy , top bloke and great leader

FWIW I don't think he influenced the result, and I'm not blaming Mitchell Park, it's just frustrating and disappointing that a club can actually do that, especially in C4 when there are so many players who are obviously not of a high standard or maybe new to the game or a kid,

Sorry to hear, that's devastating especially given his personal form but also the performance of PNU.

I agree, even on the day I reckon the sides were more evenly matched than the scoreboard suggested, A couple of moments of class here and there from some vets but that's it.

Ah c'mon, we definitely lifted for you blokes, there was a few "we hate these guys!" calls with a couple more expletives in the pre-match warm ups.

Joe Leck told a funny story before the game how he went to a wedding and a 2002 GF IF player was there, he went up to him and asked him who kicked 6 goals in the granny from '02, ..... Ingle Farm! Hardi har har.

Nah it was good game played on affable but competitive spirits. A few hot heads from both sides but you get that.

No worries about the ball, as I said in my PM I just wish it was a bit better. I had a Barry Crocker with it.

Luke was never going to play, was there to watch, had a beer in his hand 5 minutes before the game started then we had a late withdrawal and a spare set of boots so we thought why not. Only played the second half.

Luke didn't play A Grade last week. His last game was against Adelaide Uni where he hurt his back. Didn't play against WOS last week so even with the old rules we could have played him.

lol why?

We played 4 regular-ish B Graders. Kym Logan, Joe Leck, Brad Moroney and myself. Kym, Joe and I have played a few C Grade games. Brad needed a bit of fitness and some confidence and was really keen to play. Luke only played the second half.

Interestingly none of these guys were in the best or anywhere near it. I would suggest given who wasn't playing that a C Grade finals side for Mitchell Park would be if not the equivalent of that side maybe even a bit better.

and just to reiterate, one more time, Luke did not play A Grade against WOS. So even under the old rules it was all above board.

He hurt his back against Adelaide Uni and had the week off.

My issue has nothing to do with Mitchell Park or Luke or anything like that, my point is that it's stupid and unfair that the provision is there in the league that a club if they wanted to could drop a player from A to C grade, I think it creates a world of possible headaches and problems - what happens if a clubs A & B grade look very likely playing finals and C grade are on the cusp, what's to say the club might decide to give some B graders experience in A grade and push half a dozen A graders to C grade to help push them up into the finals?
