Wasn't there unfortunately but...
Weren't North supporters complaining about the umpiring being biased in the previous game @ Prospect?
Perhaps the Eagles are getting a free ride every week?

Need to see the replay. At the game Campbell had prior opportunity (ran for a few metres) and when he was tackled it looked like he didn't get rid of it correctly. Granted they don't seem to pay those any more, although they should. There were 50 other worse calls during the game.
Good work sit on the fence you obviously didnt see it but bask in the glory of the best run of bias umpiring I've ever seen
Turn it up , bad decision maybe , bias me thinks not.
If at first you don't succeed , then destroy all evidence that you tried in the first place

Was on outer wing. Will sit on fence till I see the replay. Umpiring wasn't bias, just terrible.

The umpring was poor both ways all day but the last free kick was a disgrace and cost us the win!

True in a tight game kicking 1-5 in the last hurt us although the Eagles kicked poorly for the first half. George Thring kicks his very getable set shot and we are 8 points up and win.
This loss could well and truly cost us the double chance.

Re: Round 14 - Eagles v North Adelaide - POST MATCH DISCUSSI
For years I've been frustrated and vocal at how the umpires seem to put away the whistle in the last quarter and play different rules to the rest of the game. I've also been just as vocal and frustrated about how they don't pay blatant free kicks in front of North goals but would pay them elsewhere on the ground especially holding the ball.
Ironic that they decided to do the opposite to normal for both things today in the last seconds of the game.
There's so many of them that are so bad, it has to be their coach. We need 12 league field umpires every week and have got about 6 up to standard if that.
Any game that's less than 2 goals difference in the SANFL is just pot luck as to what sort of brain fade the nearest (and not always the nearest!) has that week and when he has it.
Complete incompetence that costs teams spots on the ladder at the moment and could potentially cost a team a premiership down the track.
People talk about the integrity of the game being put at risk if the Crows enter the comp, give me that any day if you can bring along a few competent umpires to look after games! Even if they're not competent just be ******* consistent, that's all we and players ask!

Re: Round 14 - Eagles v North Adelaide - POST MATCH DISCUSSI
I'm not.
I'm asking a question as to whether the Eagles are getting a 'good ride' when playing North - is it tactical in terms of tackling technique, etc.?
Has Godden 'seen' something in 'the tapes' that is a perceived weakness?
I find your responses interesting to say the least.

I'm not yet convinced we are a top 3 side.

The Eagles get a good run every game mate, reckon the stats over the last couple of years will back that up

They're the Hawthorn of the SANFL. At least with Hawthorn you can understand it as the AFL would want a side with a huge membership to be up there.
