The only other one that is remotely close would be Flaggies? But didn't they win the flag down there last year?

saintal wrote:Not much player news out of TVCA (generally isn't at this time of year). AGM coming up some time in August. Will be an interesting night with some clubs pushing for a) all one dayers in the A grade b) Failing that, more one dayers in the A grade c) At least one T20 in the A Grade for points d) A shorter season with finals in Feb to suit harvest/orchard workers in March e) Lowering the "heat rule" to 38 degrees instead of 40 f) B Grade games being terminated once a result has been reached.

I'm/my club is opposed to all 6 suggestions, but have a feeling we'll be in the minority for most of them. Sign of the times..

Hopefully TVCA can generate enough junior teams to have more than just an U11 comp.

Keen to get back into it though. Footy season hasn't been too enjoyable. ;)

Keep us updated Saintal. The last suggestion is perhaps worthy of debate (but is hardly new). Would be very concerning if any of the rest got up.
Asked this before, but do the clubs need to put aside the idea of "clubs" and their self-interest and come up with 3 or 4 joint teams to form comps at around u/13 and u/16's level?
