west coast 2007 heritage guernsey was a replica of the 1977 WA state of origin jumper. Bit different circumstance though. The 2007 replica had the 1977 team printed on the back and was worn during the heritage round.

Yeah it is a bit different. The fact that they are supposedly celebrating SA footy, but playing against Port at the same time, just makes their reasoning redundant.

Read somewhere previously tonight, that when the Eagles wore that guernsey, it wasn't approved by the WAFL, unlike the current situation with the Crows/SANFL. Appears they were restricted with what guernsey they could wear due to the WAFL not authorising/approving it, so it somehow finished up being that '77 design.

The guy needs to take some speaking classes, that was a embarrassment. But then again who else could of done it Trigg, now that would of been funny.

I'm really surprised... I'd be offended if they wore any of the SANFL guernseys. Just so presumptuous of them to think everyone loves them here.

Given the Glenelg influence when the club was born that would be more appropriate as a heritage guernsey for them

I've changed my mind a bit. Good on Adelaide, their quest to find themselves a true identity and a heritage to be proud of continues in earnest. Whether this is it, whether they find one at all, I dont know.

Good luck to them I say, good luck indeed.

I still think it is a disgrace, but good on them for trying to create something from nothing.

I dont see whats wrong with them saying "our history started in 1990, we have two flags, and 23 years of being competitive".

I dont like them, but surely they would be one of the most consistent at playing finals over the last 23 years. Could be wrong.

Problem is that they are trying to claim an Adelaide Football club formed in the 1860's and disbanded.

The conduct of this club in the past 18 or so months is nothing short of a disgrace. Salary cap breaches and the CEO still keeps his job, back flipped on the reserves issue and made hollow threats, now they want to wear a state jumper against their cross town rival. Deadset wankers this mob
