I thought it was ok. Rucci was poor and shouldn't come back and I enjoyed the Aish interview. Very interested to see how much Amateur footy gets discussed.

It would be great if footy fans embrace this so we can get more local content.
I have no problem with the program. Gave it a chance. However, when someone gives such a ringing endorsement, I do wonder whether there is an interest...

Re: Footy SA - New Channel 9 TV Show on SA Football
Hey Dogwatcher,
DEF have an interest as I want to see SA get as much coverage as possible.
As previously mentioned - if we all get on the facebook page and tout our likes / dislikes the producers will take this into account when formulating the show.
This is the best method as they will want more viewers and most importantly viewer feedback and wants.

Thanks for answering my question
I personally understand there needs to be strong AFL content, but am hopeful there can be a decent amount of time dedicated to the SANFL, and not just the AFL reserves sides. It would also be good if you can fit in some SAAFL stuff, particularly as Channel 9 sponsors the league. However, I am realistic.

i disagree about the need for strong AFL content.
why?
there are two other AFL sunday footy shows, plus you have whats on the radio and in the sunday mail for those AFL fans

I reckon SAAFL will get a good go - taking into account it's only a 1/2 hour show - due to the Channel 9 tie in.
Hills games also got a mention last week so hopefully there is some coverage there also.
Goodwin, Stephen Rowe and Neil Balme will add to the already strong hosting team.
The AFL content is very SA centric as there has always been the feedback that both Adelaide & Port get limited coverage on the Vic based shows.

From who as they around clueless? They get too much if anything! And compared to what interstate clubs get here they have nothing to complain about!! They currently get a fair share in the national market and over exposure here! If you dedicate your show to more about Port and the Crows you will turn more people off than on as its a saturated market already.

Agreed the state gets a lot of Crows & Power coverage already.
Lets hope that local and SANFL also get some much needed coverage - only time will tell...

Melbourne. Hutchy is on the Sunday Footy Show. That aspect makes sense to me, if it is felt important that Hutchy hosts it to give credence to the program.

Melbourne at GTV 9 studios.
There is actually a very limited number of shows coming out of SA studios.
Facilities are of a high standard at GTV 9 which makes for a better end product.
9 Adelaide was only recently bought back into the main company having been privately owned.

Best backhanded insult of the day there DW.

C'mon! WIN tv would have kept everything up to scratch there!

Wasn't intended as one. The broadcaster would have a reason for Hutchy hosting, in terms of adding something to the program.
I'm not prepared to write it off just yet.

It does seem very similar to Simply Footy. Bugger all SANFL or Ammos.
