Would've been good to go to the Inaugural Integrity Cup match but don't fancy a 4 hour round trip from Compass to Elizabeth!!!
(particularly as I am doing it tomorrow to see Will & Kate) ... NOT!

With thommo, Symes and tom collier out, south should win the midfield. A Close game I think.

Paul Thomas is a good chance to play this weekend, Collier will likely miss another week, or two...

Big Phil wrote:The Dogs are coming off a very poor performance against the Adelaide Crows Reserves team and will be keen to atone for that showing whilst hoping for a couple of players to return from injury.

The Panthers are flying and sitting atop of the table by 0.05% over the Double Blues. South do have a couple of injury concerns now so their depth will be tested.

Playford Alive Oval, Elizabeth

Crabb, Redigolo and Boyd are a few big outs for us especially losing 2 of our back six who have been very consistent.

Would expect Rolfe to be given another run in the Ressies.

In Victoria at the mo so won't be able to get there however I reckon we will finally get the monkey off the back and get a win at the Ponderosa!!!

The next 2 weeks could set up South's season - beat both Centrals & WWT & top 3 is a real possibility as these are "4 point" games...

Yeah game is on Seven's main channel from 2pm. Seems that as ratings have been good, probably well above expectations, Seven are pretty comfortable putting games on the main channel.

On the game itself, a couple of key outs for South and question marks over their depth have me leaning to Centrals, but by no means confidently.

Just writing my preview for this game on the FOOTe TIMES website and worked out some unbelievable stats in regards to South's recent poor record at The Ponderosa...

Check this out:

5,502 is a number that probably doesn't mean much to may, but...

The total number of days between Saturday, April 3rd, 1999 (South's last win at Elizabeth) and Saturday, April 26th, 2014 (when they clash tomorrow) is 5,502 days.

This is equal to exactly 15 years and 23 days.

5,502 days is equal to exactly 786 weeks.

They say a week is a long time in football. What is 786 weeks in football, then? !!!

Unfortunately, I think we've too many key outs to continue the winning streak.

Does anyone think that the Dogs might actually play a couple of players in the forward 50 this week, not have 18 behind the ball again?

That really pissed me off against the Crows Reserves...

SET <get thread off track> = ON

It's been 10,065 days since the Bays last won a flag.

That's 27 years, 6 months and 21 days.

Potentially there are kids in South's under 16 team that were not even born before their last win out there.....
