The next gen game pricing has certainly jumped again. Can I wait for 6 months after launch to join the fray? Think I will try. No game is worth $118.

Mum just rang me to ask if I want a PS4 for Xmas ...now I just have to save for some games for the bastard.

Ill get a shooter, a sports game and a racing game first up.

Most likely -

Shooter - The Division or Killzone: Shadow Fall
Sports - Madden 25 (without doubt)
Racing - GT6, Grid 2 or Driveclub. (not too convinced about Driveclub yet though)

I've (luckily) got one coming next week but have done zero research so any tips/advice would be appreciated

Yeah got mine for Xmas. Its awesome, but the lack of full games is a bit shit. I have Madden 25, Battlefield 4 and Assassins Creed, plus all the free games I got along the way with Playstation Plus.

Once there's a bigger selection, and some of the bigger games like Watchdogs, The Division, etc come out, it'll be a lot better.

that is the problem with next gen consoles, the dev time would be huge given what people are expecting in terms of graphics etc.

Problem with next gen games are the developers are ONLY worried about graphics!

I reckon Sony rushed the release of the console, and developers weren't ready.
