Wow , what a surprise. Glad I didn't go. The SANFL is such an even competition now. Glad things changed for the better this season, decided for us by smarter people than you or I.
Unfortunately for sturt fans not in favour of the farce, Sturt were one of the "easiest" pushovers. Also, with a "sturt" sanfl commissioner representative.

Bump ?
Jack Stephens allegedly has a suspected broken jaw, and lost a couple of teeth, as a result of the 'bump' from Henry Slattery. Heard tonight that Power coach Ken Hinkley was watching the game and has viewed vision of the incident with his immediate reaction being that Slattery would have copped a 2 week ban if it was in an AFL game...
Interesting that the Port Magpies officials, sitting behind the RPH Commentary crew today at Alberton, were VERY defensive of the 'incident' in question, even suggesting that Stephen's suspected broken jaw was as a result of hitting his head on the ground. Didn't realize class was as hard as an elbow, allegedly?!!!

You Sir have NFI ...
wtf does that mean? No need to be a dick
Tapp did his ankle so there were not enough talls down back. Out of Kirkby, Alleway and Thorp, Thorp has been down back before so a hole needed to be plugged with Ainger and Wundke dangerous for the Eagles.
When Tapp managed to get back on the park, he wasn't 100% so went up forward.
Not ideal but sometimes changes need to be made to run with the game, and some have put Thorp in their top 3 .
That's the basis for the NFI comment. Apologies for trying to be factual.

Allers quite often played at CHB for North when e were under manned
The point I was making is that by having a playing coach as your forward coach is restricting in that if he plays back and coaches foward at the same Time then our players aren't getting the best strategist in the best view to make foward line coach calls during the heat of the battle. That's where I think our structures our flawed not so much in relation to on the field but off the field. I don't know if having 2 line coaches playing is the best thing for game day tweaks. I knew he was down back because we were undermanned after losing tapp. It didn't matter anyway could have played Woodall on wundke today FFS he talk nearly every mark uncontested so the size of his opponent was negated due to the fact he was rarely contested all day.
The death penalty can never be excused as it allows a state a means by which it can pick and choose who is fit to live and who isnt
Sometimes the best way to view the forward line is from not being part of it. So they get an outside view of the delivery, where forwards are leading to, how the opposition are defending against our forwards by forcing them to the boundary etc

It was a big hip and shoulder from front on. Late. Minimum 2 weeks at AFL level. Maybe more. Jaw probably hit shoulder + head clash, and yes his head hit the ground very hard. Wasn't pretty but there was certainly no elbow from where I was standing.
