i cannot say enough how much i do not find this guy funny
his style was much suited to a AA audience, but as AA have moved on with their brekky show, it seems triple m are sliding down the ratings scale by keeping him on..

Kinda related I guess.... with the MMM brekkie goons going to afternoons, as no one is listening to them in the morning, what make MMM management think anyone will listen in the afternoon slot?

I think there's more money attached to ads with a higher rating brekky show

Guess it means sports nuts might listen to roo and ditts in the morning then double a at night? Maybe an admission that double a won in the battle of sports drive time shows?
I think MMM management are kidding themselves if they think people will tune in to Dale Lewis & whoever that other bloke is in the afternoons, if they don't in the mornings..... Jars aside (who is ok in small doses) I think it will be short lived. They really would be better off taking the Melbourne Rush Hour with Brayshaw & Brownless to become a point of difference. Surely AA have the Crows audience stitched up!
Not sure if Roo & Ditts will work in the mornings..... but I guess it can't be any worse than the current garbage they serve up!

lol, how can you claim you are a north supporter and not know who Nick Gill is?? not saying he is good on radio, but surely you remember him playing at North??
part of me suspects that the change of lewis and gill to the afternoons has more to do with them running out a contract, than the station thinking they will be good in the slot. might it be a bit of putting them there (as the slot is getting flogged in ratings anyway) and doing something different with the slot down the track when they dont have to pay out their contracts?
i liked the music mmm played prior to this classic mmm rubbish all day... Obviously don't mind some old songs (like they had it) but now it's just shite!!

It's probably the other way around JJJ played him first then the commercial wankers have jumped on the bandwagon.
Much in the same vein as Kings of Leon. JJJ played their big hits about 6 months before the masses got wind of it then they flogged it until it died...
definitely no pharell on JJJ before the last few weeks (outside of NERD)
but yeah thats usually how it goes. JJJ play them, and then the commercial stations pick it up, usually months later, mostly after the hottest 100. Gotye, Lorde, 360 other good recent examples of this.
have to admit the song isnt the worst going around but there is a definite shift going on in JJJ in the last year or two, and i think that will continue even more now they have double J as well for their "older" listeners
