Can anyone else confirm the rumour that after being taken to the cleaners by the "Red nosed reindeer" Chambers refused to shake Rudolphs hand after the game??

Brant don't expect you to shower him with love and kisses during the game but after the game shacking hands is the done thing.....Poor form if its true...

Chambo had a kick after the final siren and missed. Then trotted straight over to Rudolph and gave him a light hip-and-shoulder. Rudolph responded by offering the hand, and it looked like Chambers took it, though it was a little hard to see with both players facing away from us.

That was hands down Rudolph's best game for the Bays. Chambers was well-beaten and lost his discipline; never have I seen him put off his game like that.

yeh I saw them shake hands, probably grudgingly but Rudolph did play well on him and Chambo was pretty frustrated most of the day
as Pseudo said there was a light hip and shoulder, nothing in it, and then the hand shake

well done to Glenelg, their pressure was awesome, as was Douglas, he carved us up

The bays were far too good yesterday, beat us in all aspects of the game. We had no answer and full marks to their fans for supporting so hard during the game.

If Chambers has finally had his colours lowered then he may need to find a Plan B to keep up his outstanding form for the remainder of the season. The other 7 clubs will be looking closely at what Rudolph and Mickan did today.

Hey Rudolph played well, really well, but I don't think he thrashed Chambers to the extend that some people are making out. In the end it was about even, with Chambo kicking 4 and should have kicked a couple of easy ones. Chambo lost his temper, which is something he has controlled really well this year, but put that down more to what he (and I) perceived to be unfair treatment by the umps. Case in point: Chambo marks behind the point line and disappointed, throws the ball behind him in self-frustration (as do many other players around the ground when a ball goes out of bounds). Result? Richard Williams pays a 50m penalty! I could live with a free but 50m????

Mind you, there were several occasions where Chambo was guilty of playing for a free kick (and personally should have got a few frees) instead of concentrating on the ball and if that is a result of Rudolph putting him off his game so be it.

So yes, Rudolph was great but what I'm getting at is that it was your midfield dominance and accountability in the backlines in general that never allowed Chambo much of a sniff. Delivery was completely shut down byt the Bay's pressure which hardly allowed us a clean possession/disposal all day.

Congratulations Bays on a very mature and powerful display. You made Sturt look like that of 2006 (Feasty getting niggly, Chambo rattled, indecision aplenty, big-men unable to take marks around the ground, strange coaching moves...) and it was an ugly but necessary reality check.

Chambers did shake hands with Rudolph, after a friendly shoulder bump! To get 4 goals against all sorts of elements was a good effort. For a full forward to have a big day out you need to dominate the centre clearances.....Glenelg won hands down !

That's funny, in the Queen's Head after the match your opinion of Chambers' game was a little less glowing...

In the paper it is claimed that Chambers made Sturt's best - which doesn't speak well for the rest of the Sturt team.

4 goals is a handy return, but being held to 5 kicks for the match AND put off his game speaks volumes for Rudolph. Consider that most of us (well, me at least) hold Chambers in very high regard as a player. So I guess in the context of his usual performances, Chambers had a very dirty day.

Where did I offer a glowing endorsement of Chambo's game? I agree, Chambo did have a dirty day by his standards. But not all because of Rudolph - that's all I'm saying. Sure he played well, but it was your midfield pressure and control of CHB that stopped the ball getting to him cleanly in the first place. That's a compliment BTW

Well beaten on Saturday in many parts of the game - thank goodness for the bye so we can regroup.

Some one posted about Fabs and the need to promote a youngster - I rekon we have the mix correct at the moment but on the other hand I would like to see Kurtze get a few more games in the league side.

Also about Chambo he has had a stellar year and has already been getting plenty of extra attention - this week maybe he didnt switch that out of his mind.

still disappointed but getting over it now. obviously we were outplayed by a better team on the day. hurts to say, but back to the basics blues...the week off will help to get over all that has happened this past week and a bit.
