South in form, sturt not, although if they kicked straight could have won last week.

Would be a ******* shame to go out in straight sets

When did these 2 sides last meet in a final? Don't recall it occurring in my lifetime (almost 44 but the early memories are not that reliable

1965 according to Phil H. 49 years!

The last three times that these two sides have met in a final are the 1940 Grand Final (win to Sturt), 1964 Preliminary Final, (win to South) and 1965 Preliminary Final, controversial win to Sturt. The second semi in 1964, which South lost by a point to Port was their first final of any description since the 1940 Grand Final. 24 years without a finals appearance is quite a drought given that we had an 8 team competition in those days.

That is just the 'terminology' they use, these days...

Did you see the 2 seperate incidents he was reported for, Bounce of the ball?

The tunneling one was not a good look and may only be worthy of a reprimand, but the hit on Bode wasn't good...

Factor in the carry over points system, as it has in this instance, and I think the 1 week offer is fair and reasonable...

The first report he tunnelled Flip, was a very dangerous thing to do.
His second report he wasnt looking at the ball and intentionally charged Bode who was in the act of marking. Very lucky to only get 1, obviously his record saved him
