Yeah - Thurlow very important for Eagles to have someone to match the size of Baulderstone. Nick Hayes looked lively up forward and put Wundke up there alongside him, help him further. Still dependent on ball delivery and tonight Lewis was very good.

Given he came from Essendon (and was there for the last two years) I was wondering whether he might be caught up in the Essendon drug scandal? Essendon players have been sitting out of NAB trials so was wondering whether that might have something to do with it? I presume that any verdict which resulted in a ban for Essendon players at AFL level would also apply to Essendon players in lower leagues such as the SANFL. Maybe someone has a better understanding and could provide some information on this.

Anyone in the know at Norwood who can update on what happened at Tribunal this week from the Reserves game, or is it being held tonight?

Young Tom Derham playing his first or second trial game for Legs was reported for front on contact to Caleb Lloyd from Eagles. Kid was carried from field on stretcher and incident looked sickening. The video evidence looks even worse, may get 8 weeks potentially.

Tom was Port Under 18 Premiership player, been playing in Great Southern League, decided to try out at Norwood (thought if he wanted to play League footy would have picked easier Club, but good luck to him). Gave cricket away this year to give footy a real crack, so if he misses half a season will be devastated.

Port defeated te might of Goodwood Saints 19.12-126 to 2.4-16 last night. Our academy side beat PAOC 12.10-82 to 5.5-35

Can anyone let me know if Port now play under the same rules as the Crows in the SANFL ? I thought after last year it was meant to change to the same but cannot recall reading anything about it ?
